Advice Please

I've been reading this forum for a couple of months, and now i've decided to be a domainer..

I've just won an auction on a good mispelling of santaclaus, assuming i actually get the domain what would be the best way to make money from it?

Obviously i will park it as Christmas is too near to develop a good site, but what should i do with it after Christmas?

Welcome to NamePros! I'm glad you decided to join and become a domainer. I would park it ASAP and make sure you optimize it to Christmas, Santa or toys. See what is getting the best click rate and making you the most money. After Christmas, you should have a idea of the traffic and be able to decide what way to develop it.

I've been wondering, is it really worth developing a typo that only relies on traffic around christmas time? Or is that a reason for developing it?

Just one more question: I won the domain on GoDaddy yesterday, it says it takes "several weeks" until i recieve the domain. How long does it usually take to recieve it? I read somewhere i takes upto 45 days.

If you look at the 'won' section of your account, it will tell you what day you will receive the domain.

I'm very impatient, i want to start earning cash from my domain names right now!

It claimed the monthly traffic was around 120 hits per month. (but i've forgotten the exact figure)...

is it unique hits? You may try to park it, but don't expect much from it.

hmm...

I'll park it for this Christmas, see how much money it'll earn, then i'll try to sell for next Christmas.

I don't think there's much point spending a lot of time developing it, I may just develop a tiny site then advertise it around the web and hopefully that will increase the value when i come to sell it.

I guess this domain will be a turkey _\|/_ , and a load of jingle balls (excuse the rubbish jokes).
