Hey,

I've had google adsense on my site for about 2 years now. And I have been having a REALLY bad last 2 months. Does anyone know if google changed anything for which they base their pay per click? I've also tried clicking my ad myself and usually it gives me over $2, now the amount isn't even noticable.

Be careful, self clicking is kind of breaking their TOS.

1) Dude, bad form.
2) You clicking your own ads is what caused everyone's revenue to go down, so congrats.
3) Google has changed many adwords rules that has lowered prices for advertisers, but of course has lowered revenue for adsense as well.

I would suggest you refrain from clicking on your own ads, not only does it increase your chance from being banned from the adsense program but it also affects the rest of us.
High paying advertisers can and may force google in some way or form to change the adsense revenue program, which will reduce the payouts for publishers because of it.

I once accidently clicked on one of my own ad's on our company site.

Our company got over 1,000,000 unique visits last year and we lost google ads because i accidently clicked on one, Don't risk it mate :p

I am not a big fan of Google Adsense. It is a nice program just the payouts are slow,etc

I use clicksor.com
I also have a google account but don't suhgest them because of slowness of payment.
I havn't got the check for Nov from 2004 yet

No check from Nov 2004? You must have earned less than $100 that month and accruals... Otherwise, Adsense is pretty regualr for me, once a month around the 20th.

I live in Canada.. Maybe that it is... Nope the check for Nov 2004 hasn't arrived yet it was for 79$ US. In cada that is 100$ around.. Pretty good I say.
I also don't got Dec for 59$ and Jan for 35$.

So I will be getting a load when they all arrive.

They'll tolerate a few test clicks if your account is new but you will surely get banned if you continue and you don't want that. I am always reading stories of people getting too greedy by defrauding Ad_-Sense and getting banned, some losing as much as $10,000 in monthly revenue. It's not worth it, especially if you don't have a day job.

Not necessarily, you can filter out the URL of your competitors from the Ad settings. It takes a bit of your time though.
