I have a public service website that I'm almost done with (virusinfection.info). My content is complete and I just started adding adsense. The problem is this.

My adsense ads are talking about herpes virus, the papaloma virus, etc...nothing about computer viruses, spyware, malware, etc

What can I do? Can I somehow force adsense to accept a keyword??

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Top shows disease, but, shows proper ads on bottom :)
Try blocking disease advertisers within your adsense acct.

On second thought...
Doesn't medical ads pay more than computer virus?
If so, how about recreating site about disease and make more money?

I'm sure medical makes more, but this is a personal project (since it's what I do professionally).

I don't see a professional website, just a whypark page with a lot of copied articles?

I wouldn't say it's professional (since I don't design sites professionally), but I did switch the Name Servers a few minutes ago to my dev'd site. It looks like adsense is sending me the right ad's now, so I suppose I'm all good

The site is not finished BTW. There are missing pages and I'm sure there is misspelled content/missing words....I'm working on it ;)

I had written about this sometime back and am copying it back here.

You could use sectional ad targeting by specifying your targeted text using these tags.

<!-- google_ad_section_start -->
YOUR TARGETED TEXT-------------- for example : a few lines containing the words computer virus.
<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

You could also use the Google preview tool to check the various ads targeted at your site and choose to block certain ads and retain the relevant ones. All you need to do is download the preview tool and run the file. Close all your open browser windows and then restart. You should now see a new tab "Adsense Preview Tool" when you right click on your site page. This will show you the various ads being displayed for different countries. You can block the inappropriate ad urls. Please note to make use of the preview tool only for "your" site optimization. Don't use it for exploring other site ads. Make sure to read Google's policies before use.

Yeah, thanks Varon. I saw that code minutes after making this post. It looks like my ads on virusinfection.info now relevant to my site.
