Adding privacy to domain at 1and1.com

Hi,
I have a domain registered at 1and1.com with basic instant package. Under domain settings, I am unable to find any option to enable privacy for that domain name. Can someone help me? Should I have to opt for another upgraded package to get that feature? thank you..

why do you think you need privacy?

it's basically a profit center for sponsoring registrar
