There's this .com domain, which may not be of commercial importance but its of importance to me personally. This domain is currently with NameAdminInc. They're using the domain for PPC revenue.

I've tried contacting them reg this domain, and never got a reply. Making an offer through afternic costs a minimum $10,000! I'd like to know if someone of you have past experience with them..?

It's not worth their time to deal with small offers. $10K isn't alot of money to them...

It looks like they don't sell - this is of their website:

Is this domain for sale?
We do not sell domain names. We receive many unsolicited offers each day however our business is building and developing each domain name and website into a relevant microportal. We are constantly improving our network to offer more relevant information and advertising content.

Thanks. I've seen that. But, this domain is a non-english domain. Its just an Indian name. Value would be less than $50. I own the .org, .biz, .in, .co.in versions of this name. I was ready to pay upto 1k..

And, well may be they're a big firm & 10k isnt big for them. Those 'Microportals' are nothing more than page full of PPC ads.. I'd love to have this domain, may be if its somewhere within my reach..!

Regardless of what the domain is - it is either making them money in PPC or "beefing out" their domain portfolio, I think going by their website you have no chace - but good luck anyway :)

I've tried to acquire MAKEAQUIZ.COM off them... (I own Makeaquiz in every other extension)... but they just dont reply

They dont care how much you are willing to pay. Their domains are full investments... they dont trade and only make money out of their own personal advertisement systems

Everything is for sale, you could try offering $1000 (put the amount in the subject line) though I think that is likely below the minmum they would consider selling anything for. Whatever you do don't send one of those "is this domain for sale, if so please email back with your asking price" type emails, that almost guarantees no response.

Unfortunately, it only makes it more valuable to them when other extensions are registered. Even more if one or more are developed.

I've heard they don't sell as well. As said, most things are for sale for a price. Since they aren't in the business of selling them, the price in their case is probably high. Even if the name gets very little PPC, just owning that many names will eventually have someone willing to pay the price, making obtaining others even more difficult since they really don't need sales income.

I once wanted a domain held by buydomains as well. However, their exhorbitant price was beyond my value for it as a secondary domain. I registered the alternates as backups, but don't use them. I've been letting them drop now to decrease the value of the .com version. I seriously doubt they get much PPC from it, but they'll probably hold it for many years.

Good luck.
