Hey guys,

As a newbie, should EstiBot's evaluation be taken into consideration?
I feel like I had some nice domain names that they claim is worth $0

Hence, my question? Thank you in advance!

All bots are just for fun...

Don't take estibot seriously; or any other automated value tool, for that matter...

Past similar sales can be used as a guideline, but are still not definitive by any means.

Exactly what I am somewhat doing. Taking examples of past sales and creating something similar and new around it for now. Thanks for your advice

^^ maybe only if the valuation is good

But Estibot is highly inaccurate*. You can ask people who have made great sales here. Ask them how much the estibot value was. I bet you 99.999% of them will be waaaaaaaayyyyy off (way on the low end.)

*To be fair, how can they know how much a human individual will actually pay for a domain? It just pulls stats from here and there, plug it into their formula and spits out a $number. It's not really a smart bot.

If you have EMDs(Exact Match Domains) use GAKP+ Roseners equation and discount the value you get if its not .com, and if its .org the value should only be slightly discounted if it fits the extension ex. Religion, Health, Worship, Charity related stuff. Otherwise similar sales from Namebio or DNPric.es and experience will help you determine value. Also if you want to know whats wrong/right with your name use the appraisal thread.

Automated appraisals aren't accurate, in fact many times tools like estibot will appraise something for $100 and it sells for $50k.

Yeah but have a look at the evaluations and then see if what the names sell for, if at all

Estimates does not necessarily mean accurate values.

Estibot makes estimates, just a heads up on what you can expect.

It's a bot so it has 100% accuracy.

yes you can always trust a robot

sorry

just joking

in reality your domain is worth
$15.856,17 USD
you'd better renew it for 10 years right now
park it
and wait for the buyer to come

good luck

put in the top 20 sales reported by dnjournal.com and compare the results with the real sales figures. There is your answer.

It's a bot so it has 100% accuracy.
What?! Now I'm really confused... I think you meant to say it has... 200% accuracy. No?

0.0001% accuracy on 99.99% of the cases

No estibot should not be taken that seriously. It just tells the appraisal value of a domain thats it. That doesnot mean 0 estibot domain names are of bad worth. Not so

Simple: do as if it didn't exist.
Never ever buy a domain based on an automated appraisal. The most important appraisal factor is gut feeling.

This is the only tool you need:

I just sold a domain at โ‚ฌ 1.200
where estibot quotes $ 360 USD

now the buyers the first offer was โ‚ฌ 150
and his best price was โ‚ฌ 700

but my last price was โ‚ฌ 1.500

we agreed on โ‚ฌ 1.200

honestly the estibot valuation of $360 USD
to me is not bad at all

how can a bot know
how deep the pockets of a buyer are?
and how well the seller is doing the negotiations?

It is generally understood here at NP that appraisal tools / sites like Estibot/com are not of much use for accurate valuations.
