Hi, i'm curious to know:

What is the minimum offer your'e pricing for most of your domains in Godaddys offer/counter offer method? Do you decided for every domain by itself? Or perhaps making a minimum of, say, 10$, so you won't miss any offers?

Plus, is it legit to set a minimum offer for 10$, and after you get a 10$ offer - counter with 1,500$?
It's way more than the minimum offer you agreed to review..

I'm a bit confused about this one, I hope someone can clear my mind...

I usually try to be realistic about what the minimum offer I might be willing to accept and put it there or just below. I don't want to waste my time or someone else's time if I am not interested in a $10 offer and if they are truly interested, a minimum offer of $100 is not going to deter them. If it would, then you won't talk them up anyway. Sometimes I might put it a little bit lower to help gauge interest - so for example, if I really want at least $200 for it, but am only getting offers at $150-$175 and nobody will counter offer, I might consider that I am pricing it too high (this is excluding domains that I know are super premium or whatnot). The reason some people might do it low is that it might show up in more searches... so someone would is only searching for max price of $100 might find it and then later decide he will pay more... but I am not sure how often that really has major impact.. Does that make sense?

Just to answer the second question - it is completely legit and people do it all the time. Personally I dislike it. Many times I have seen a "min offer $100" domain and got no response/counter offer when I offer $100.... probably thought it was way too low. I personally prefer a person being upfront with what they want so we don't waste time, but there isn't anything unethical about it (unless you ignore the offers too - at least counter). And of course, the reason I gave to doing it lower in the first answer could be applied here as well.

Hope that helps!
