A Moniker Expiring name question...

Once a Moniker registered domain expires and passes the drop date, how long before it actually gets dropped (if nobody has a backorder on it) and is available to register again ?

This name shows as expired earlier in September 2008 but the whois details (at the bottom of whois.sc) shows:

Server response:
No Match

Its not parked but it has'nt been released back to the wild yet

...Any ideas ?

Moniker sends it's expired domains to SnapNames, so if it expired in early Sept, it very well could be on Snap Yet.

If it's not on Snap, just keep watching for it to hit Pending Delete status (approx 71 days after expiration).

If it doesn't hit Pending Delete, somebody BO'ed it, Renewed it etc.

I'm pretty sure its already been on snap but I missed it The whois is not showing a 2009 expiry date so it looks like its been held without any payment or renewal ???

Not sure what else to think at the moment

I'll keep an eye on it for the next week or so and see what happens with it.

Gazzip, try to find a "moniker" domain that is in the PD list that drops tomorrow. Then compare the expired date. That should give you a better idea.

If you do not have DRT, just let me know and I could run a scan for you.

Hi Jamie, I don't have DRT I just spend hours manually digging around in the mud

Ok, I ran a scan and domains from Moniker that are pending delete that will drop today have an expired date of July 11th & 12th. There were an equal amount of both the 11th & 12th.

So a domain that goes expired via Moniker will drop on the 77th or 78th day after expiration.

Take your domain you are interested in, then add on 77 or 78 days To it's expired daten and that is when it should drop.
