.mobi A large # of one word .coms going up for sale...

Have any of you noticed that there are a lot of one word .coms going up for sale at sedo lately? I wonder (could be a stretch) if they see .mobi as a threat and are selling them now incase .com loses a bit of luster when .mobi takes off, or is it just my imagination and it's the same number of names?

It seems as though every time I open sedo, I see about 5 or so really solid one word .coms for sale. Usually, there are some random 3 to 5 word .coms going up every day.

Maybe .mobi has nothing to do with it, and these people simply need the money, or maybe they are tired of the business. I don't know, but I have seen so many go up lately its hard not to take notice.

it is probably because of sedo starting the auctions and everyone who is getting offers is sending their name into auction. I dont think people with .com see mobi as a threat. Other extensions such as .info and .net might feel that the value of their non .com names could decrease since there has been a lot of interest in mobi lately.

Just as you know, "Mobi-trends" has damage the stability of another extention. You can look at Dyyo.com where the 4-letter registration has falling down-and the admin said it because the MOBI trends. Another indication is sales report. Until this day i never see DNjournal not list no MOBI sales report, and they go for more than $1000 every week. I dont see it as a dotCOM threat, but true as non-COM threat..
Well thats just a research, we'll never know where it goes in the future.. Is it true that the dotCOM history will repeated it self? what ever happens, i'm glad to be in this business...

lol...end of year always has good sales. People tend to either need money for the holidays or people have extra money to blow for tax reasons. My best sales have always been in December and January.
