A domain was sold, but still registering earnings at ND?

Hi,

I just sold a domain at Namecheap together with the Whois Guard and its no longer in my account. But my ND account actually showed a click and still getting traffic. I look up the whois and it shows its still directed at NDs servers.

Maybe the owner just left the DNS to keep pointing to ND, but shouldnt he be getting the click revenue and not me? Its very strange, any explanations for that?

not really. You assumption would be correct. Hes just not changed any of the DNS settings and/or doesnt have an account with ND.

No great mystery. I have a domain I sold over 2yrs ago still pointing to my DNS. And 2 domains I sold 18 months ago still in my account because the buyer didnt and still hasnt (despite reminders) accepted the push..

I sold a domain back in September and the buyer never changed the whois info (some registrars don't automatically change the whois after a push), recently i received an email from a company interested in that domain, i had to refer them to the current owner.

I wish i have the domain back...

yea this is happeing to me ... it is frustrating, especially when you let the domain go cheap.

2 years people have't taken care of their domains. They spent some amount. didn't care. just wonder why?
