Erica used to have a normal life until she was diagnosed with Mitochondrial disease. She had been entered in a contest to win a wheelchair van. It would help her greatly: she won't have to wait around for the wheelchair bus to come and it'd help serve her community, go to classes, finish her degree, and do things like she used to be able to do, before life with a wheelchair.
