.tv 70% Discount...

I keep hearing about a 70% discount, yet I see it nowhere on www.tv nor does it show when I try to renew my premium domains. I guess I'm out of the loop because I've seen at least a dozen people mention it. What discount are you all talking about? Someone please enlighten me! Thanks in advance.

Its not a discount thats advertised on www.tv site. But if you call in (the contact name is Fatmatu) or make an offer at 30% rate, you will be offered that price. Its 70% discount for as many years you register the name straight intially. Then the renewals are discounted only 50% there on.

Ah, okay. I've got already registered premiums, one definitely originally registered as a discount (it was a $1,000/yr name and I got it for 3 yrs at $500/yr and is $500/yr per year afterwarsd), the other not sure as I bought it. Both are showing 1 yr renewal at $500, so I'm guessing there's no discount for me except obviously if I get more than 1 year. Cool, thank you.

Okay I forgot to mention it. Its only available for new registrations. Premium names that are registered before this offer is in place do not get this discount (ie 70%) for renewal. Also this offer does not apply to names that are priced at 100$ as far as I know. They get different offer structure.

It does apply to $100 names. I registered UpTown.tv and I got it for $30.00, but the renewel will be $100

Very interesting. I registered mystic which was priced the same, but got a different deal like 30%,40%.50%,50% for 1,2,3,5 yrs of reg respectively. I went for 3 yrs after that 100$ I believe. Oh well, its 3.55a.m. here I don't care any more, lol.

I spoke with the lady at .TV corp yesterday and she told me that I can still get 70% discount.
