.tv $7,000 sale for NUTSTV.COM

This sale has been in the works for over a month now!!!

But finally today it closed.....and name transferred...

The .TV was sanpped up within a few days of being approached for the TV.COM......

Bought this name for $5.95 less than a year ago and so am pretty ok with the result....

This is a huge end user I am almost sure......NUTS.CO.UK...they have a part of their site called NUTSTV already.......the question is which end name they go for........either which way it is STILL a good omen for .TV in that the big players are gonna need to cater to those with interactive expectations.....and if they cant get the tv.com , almost certainly they will take the .tv....

In case people are wondering why I held out for so little - it is all about priorities and financial situations and quality of the name.....NUTSTV.COM is no generic and would have very few buyers indeed interested in the name......I am in development phase and could not afford to lose the sale or indeed halt the sale....development is my only priority right now....

I have a list of about 50 similar names that hopefully will start to get snapped up over the coming 18 months or so.....here is to hoping!!

Well my bet would be the TV.COM...and here is why.....they first offered me $1000 and I said they should go read allthings.tv that I was a blogger on - that sent the message to them that I understood what was going on with video on the net......

ONLY THEN did the name NUTS.TV get snapped up at $1650 a year...had it been $500, i would have snapped it up myself.......

Then they got back to me (insurance in the pocket now) and started negotiating

Time will tell.......
