i bought this name on TDNAM the other week eprec.com thought it was a good buy because it has over 6,000 indexed pages on yahoo. but there are no indexed pages on google, is this why it has no PR, is PR only a google thing?
how would you monitze a site like this, it gets mild traffic and clicks, but did put it in appraisal section so could be from there....

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

not sur eon the monitizing part, we'll wait for osmeone else on that one, but yes, PageRank is a TM of google and they use a formula to calculate the PR of any given page. Listings on other serach engines I believe are not a factor.

ok thanks, this may be a dumb question but can i expect traffic from the indexed pages, they are are wide variety of topics, looks like a blog. the pages will drop out eventually right?

well it depends on search terms and such. there's no telling if you will get traffic and if yes, how much you will get from just the fact that there are listings. now if there is a certain keyword that's popular and it was listed in the top 2 or 3 then yeah, expect some traffic. otherwise, its hard to tell.

Best way is it put it up and track it to see if there are clicks or not and extrapolate on that data

Not valuable imho and doubtful you will get much traffic.

All of those pages were computer generated jibberish spam. This is a good one though eprec.com/1-800-KILL-MY-PARENTS-A-Needed-Service-1390127x14.htm You'll make money with that page :)

Google knows it's just spam so they removed it from their index. They only saved 10 pages of the 6624 Yahoo has: siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com In Google put inurl:eprec.com and click the "cached" link next to the result to see what was there before. Click "repeat the search with the omitted results included." at the bottom of the page to see all of them.

You won't rank for anything with this site and all of the pages will eventually drop out as the spiders come back around and find the site is gone.

PR is a ranking given for the number of sites that link to you. This site has no incoming links so the PR is 0.

The Number of Indexed Pages it's just a small interesting part of a domain.
Alexa, PR and other things apply (access to stats files for example).

And...You have to move fast and apply the right techniques to keep those pages indexed at the Search Engines or... they will be removed fast (remember that you buy the name, not thecontent, so those pages will not be anymore online).
