I see a lot of posts asking for this type of information, and also a lot of posts with inaccurate information, so I thought I would make this available to everyone.

If anyone sees a problem with any of my statistics please let me know...

***Keep in mind that about 1-2% more domains are registered than noted here.
This report was pulled from the zone file which exempts any domains without nameservers. Which as best as I can tell runs about a 1-2% average.

They have PROMO domains from the registry.
The same with other registrars.

Godaddy gives you ONE 0.99 domain per user or "Take the first year for $1 if you pay for 2+ years"
and other marketing promos

Domain.com just selling them with their small profit $0,3 - $0,5 per domain

One of seller offered me BDBBB.com for $200. I did not accept his offer 1 month ago. I knew it was good deal but I counter offer $175 and he sold to someone in 10 minutes for $225. No regret though.

One of them is QIIII.com (Google result says some Chinese Name. Don't know if that is true or not)

HHHNY just sold on GoDaddy for $120+. I checked a couple of minutes before auction end and it was at $121. These are getting back to where they were before the Chinese new year.

It's March 1st now in China - Today is the day that they are meant to be blocking .com.
