I see a lot of posts asking for this type of information, and also a lot of posts with inaccurate information, so I thought I would make this available to everyone.

If anyone sees a problem with any of my statistics please let me know...

This report was pulled from the zone file which exempts any domains without nameservers. Which as best as I can tell runs about a 1-2% average.

you're welcome. the stats are basically side effect of data mining that my company do for our partners. we are now thinking about offering those lists of available domains, recently registered domains and dropped domains on daily basis via mailing to subscribed members (for $20 - $30), but I am not sure if anyone was interested. thee fee is nothing for those investing I guess, considering value of the data. looking for feedback on the idea

I digged into it..and discovered something..i think the base rate for 5L 2letter repeaters would be near about 179 yuan = $27.15

It seems that 5L without "q/r/l/n/p already trading in China for average 160元 . Domains including those letters trading for about 50元

Anyone else look at their traffic report everyday and try to find usable data in it? For the past month I was getting 20-25k uniques a day. A lot of them on the numbers. I'm sure it's all people running availability checks or Whois searches or something like that. The last 5 days the numerics backed off to almost nothing and certain 5L's went up 5-10 times the previous week. 6L with patterns shot up too. (Yes I have some crazy 6L patterns, and yes I know it's ridiculous) This cycle has happened a couple of times with traffic fluctuations going from 20-25k visits a day for a couple weeks then down to 3-5k for a week or so, then back up.

I have taken ~3000K different domains .co .net .com with their system. Yes. They are sadists. But if you want cheap domains they are the best )))

All registrars have not big amounts of cheap domains from the registry promos. And you should say thanks Domain.com for their terrible and slow system. Because big players cant grab all cheap promo domains within 1 minute.

They have PROMO domains from the registry.
The same with other registrars.

Godaddy gives you ONE 0.99 domain per user or "Take the first year for $1 if you pay for 2+ years"
and other marketing promos

Domain.com just selling them with their small profit $0,3 - $0,5 per domain
