w3b.info parked at Namedrive. i had 330 views so far this month. But, no clicks and no revenues. is there anyway to increase revenue?

Also, If i have 1000 views with no clicks will they offer money? it is the case of RPM?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

I'm fairly new at this, but views can simply be spiders from search engines. I have one domain that had 4,316 views or impressions yesterday at Fab, and it was nearly all Google. Fabulous shows exactly where all traffic comes from. With the 4,316 views, I had one click with revenue!!

They only offer money for clicks at ND as far as i know. Try DS where you can get pop up rev with no clicks.

We also have similar names at ND, appreciate if any ND experts can share about how best to optimize the domains- category settings, keyword peculiarities and header choices... or is it better to leave it totally unoptimized, does it "self optimize" at ND like at DS? Tks.

dongan: go into settings on your namedrive, then find your domain, click on it, you ll see what are the users search for your domain, by country, then optimise with the keywords they give you

Really bad rate. I conversely I had a domain on Fabulous@Afternic and only got 2 clicks from over 200 visits, which I thought seemed a bit too awful to believe, I moved it to namedrive and now get about 10% click through rate, unyet the links are just about identical.

You could always try adult keywords to get some adult links, which I don't think Namedrive minds - they usually get a click or two from someone, but I guess might possibly endanger the resale value of your domain.

i never mind to put adult keywords. but, afraid it will reduce the resale value.

The problem with names like wbd is that many of those typing it in may be domainers looking to see if it's available. For weird non-keyword domains, I'd do a google search and see if that string has anything come up that might be near what someone typing it in may be looking for. I myself don't click on most generic PPC pages, because the links aren't relevant to what I'm looking for. If you find it's domainers who are clicking, find something related to domains, sales, hosting , or something they may be interested in. I particularly NEVER click on a link on a domain I'm intersted in purchasing. That only leads the owner to see value in it right before I make an offer. Some domains in the long run, may be better off with a huge for sale page rather than PPC if selling the domain is the main thing you are intersted in.

I also use click.
I have 50% click rate with Namedrive. But, the clicks aren't worth anything.

I have one domain too with many views but no clicks. Try seeting to portal type. May be it will attract some visitors. And you'll see what your users will search for.

I believe the robot traffic is being counted in the views, because I have a lot of names that are getting a LOT of views and no clicks.. and these are views that were not previously shown.

Just by using common sense you can tell, for example ... i have a name "internetdatingservices.info" Here are the January stats.

Date - Views - Clicks
Sun, Jan 22nd, 2006 - 0 - 0
Sat, Jan 21st, 2006 - 16 - 0
Fri, Jan 20th, 2006 - 22 - 0

Sun, Jan 15th, 2006 - 33 - 0

Tue, Jan 3rd, 2006 - 0 - 0
Mon, Jan 2nd, 2006 - 0 - 0
Sun, Jan 1st, 2006 - 16 - 0

Totals - 209 - 0

I have a lot of names like this .... it's obvious by the name itself that it will not generate this much traffic without any advertising. So be wary when purchasing names based on ND traffic stats, or any traffic stats for that matter.

Hope this is helpful to some.

Best Regards,
Dave
