It seems most of the 2 word domain names are gone but what about 3 word domain names? I could go broke coming up with names. I have a list already but haven't registered them.

Is there much of a market for 3 word names? Obviously if they have current searches perhaps but undeveloped names (especially 3 word) aren't worth much it seems.

The combination of 3 word domains are infinite. In my opinion, there isn't much value at all if you are looking to just re-sell them. If disigning them, sure, some could be proffitable as with any site - independant from the domain name. Example, VoteRonPaul.com could be marketable to the Ron Paul campaign by itself, but if developed and had its niche, it could bring thousands of screaming fans :)

They can have value, but generally not as much as the shorter domains. But if you found a good three-word domain it could be worth quite a bit.

I have been registering some for parking more than investing. What I do is try to find some that have good search numbers and pretty high keyword bids. Those are the best.

There's plenty of two word ones left, I churn up dozens daily across a vast spectrum of subjects from sports to science, from religion to politics, and a hundred and one other subjects.

Try to think what people would type were they to look for something relevant to them on the major search engines, make a note of how many results this gives you for each search then use Overture for a more indepth analysis.

After that ascertain what the domain score is for that two-worder under the prefix of your choice. Then carry out further research to see what similar names have sold for. This will assist you to determine your price and who may be the audience for your name. When you get that far and your happy, buy it if you think there's a good chance of doing a quick flip for profit. With your profits, you can then reinvest for further names.

Too, think about other languages, use a language translator if you have to. Try German, Spanish, Italian, French, that ought to keep you going for now.

With a good range of tools, you shouldn't have a problem finding many more two word domain names that can turn a decent profit.

Write too, a decent sales letter for your domain name and approach end users directly through email. Make sure that your header is attention grabbing. Tell them what this name could do for their business.

To find more good keywords, look everywhere around you for inspiration. Think outside of the box, think imaginatively and carry a notebook and pens around with you, wherever you go. Buy newspapers, look at current trends, find out what is happening where, buy science magazines or look online, there's a true wealth of material to choose from. Use marker pens when reading the newspapers, to highlight certain words and key expressions. Juggle everything in your mind and more than anything else, have fun with words.

Enjoy!!

Actually it all depends on the name or the website behind it but not the domain's length. Of course a one word domain is better but there are so many 3 word domains that are worth much more than 1 word domains.

it's true what rawc says if you have the right software to scan you can find lot's of 2words domains. Just keep searching. Because three words are no that good. They are to long.

Thanks, I appreciate your comments. And RWAC, I do some of what you suggested as far as thinking of names. I've probably read more lately than in the last couple of years jus searching for quality names.

Thanks again
