Adult domains

I'm tempted to register some adult domain names but I am not sure what kind of thing works. Is it better to have a one word domain, or maybe a two or three word domain? Also are adult domains even worth that much?

I dont think adult names are great for resale anymore. There are SOOOO many out there to choose from. and how many does the world need.

I'm able to flip my adult names quicker then my general names... a one word domain is obviously worth more but good luck getting one, I dont think I'd touch too many 3 word adult domains, I mainly go after 2 worders myself.

I have a couple of adult names, but they are parked with a program that doesn't have hosted galleries. I don't want to pay for hosting since that tends to be more for adult content. What programs are there that I can just forward the url to that has galleries?

A couple of months back I picked up a brace of adult domains with the thought of throwing up some sites but am finding myself spread too thin. Like dan_Vt above, I'd sure like to learn about any easy ways to monetize these sites.

They all garner at least a couple of type-ins a day, so if they had some actual content I might be able to generate some decent pocket change.

Any suggestions?

Simply find an affiliate program on google. If you don't suceed, TRY AGAIN <Affiliate link edited out > and sign up.

Go into your member account and create a new "campaign". One for each parked domain is good so you can check each for individual stats.

Next generate your link codes. Pick a site that has to do with your domain and get the code.

Then just simply redirect your domain to the url your affiliate sponsor generated for you and thats it. Any type ins now go to your hosted gallery.

There are different plans and stuff avilable but generally you get between $25 and $35 bucks a sign up.

One sign up in 1 year pays reg fee on itself and lets you buy 2 more to speculate on for free. If they turn out to be duds, let them drop. If you sell them and make more money, good on you.

One sign up in 3 years will cover the reg fee for the domain.

You are now in the porn business.

As far as what constitutes a good "adult" name, there is a different opinion for every occaision, so I'll tell you what I look for in a domain name.

Above all the dot com is king. For ADULT resale purposes this is the ext to have. Problem is, most of the really good ones are gone. But not all of them. Just use your head and you'll come up with some.

EG-I regged teenrager.com last august and have already knocked back offer of mid $xxxx. It will be worth a lot more when it is developed.

Another thing that makes a domain valuable is keywords. If you can get a domain/domains with a highly sought after keyword you can generate cash with them, even if they are not a dot.com Just use a keyword tool to check the popularity of the term.

Some of mine are bigtit.ws,sexteen.ws,teengirl.ws,wank.ws and nuns.ws (would you believe there are 25000 searches a month for nuns! having sex!! very kinky!!!) Bought ALL these this week. Needless to say sometimes I just can't control myself but if I cant sell bigtit.ws for $500 I should get out of the domain speculation game!

If you build a one page site with some affiliate links and SEO them, you can rank extremely high for that particular keyword as it is your domain name.

The rest is history. Buy cheap, sell at a profit.

I think the 12 adult domains I have are pretty good. Most are two word .com's and pretty much fall in to two particular niches.

On a side note, I picked up "F***WithYou.com" today as a lark. Not sure what I can or will do with it, but it made me laugh so I had to have it!!

I believe adult names worth if they are developed. I have a few ones with great performance when they had content, however due lack of time I parked them and they have a very few traffic on average compared with the non-adult parked names.

Marketing campaigns are important as well because while many people surf everyday for porn, most of them are scammed with all those sites popping up all kind of junk, including harmful trojans with auto installers such as dialers, toolbars, etc.

I agree 100%. Pop-ups, trojans and self installing dialers are the scouge of the adult internet. Many people make the mistake of installing these programs on their site in an effort to get a better return on their investment, but all it usually achieves is the surfer removing their bookmark. Clean marketing is the way of the future. No pop-ups, no consoles.
