If, a .com domain isn't worth paying $8.17 to hand-reg I usually avoid. Although, I love transfer discounts for domains I have to renew but want a deal.

But look at Federer. He has a lot of .coms he wants to mass-reg, so he waits for a $1.99 deal. Then he reggaes them and some sell for x,xxxxxxxxxxxxxx and the ones that don't sell, he just lets expire. And that's his domaining strategii. Once they expire, he just waits for another 1.99 deal, re-reggaes, sells a few for x,x,x,x,x,x, again, then lets expire... rinse, repeat.

I guess if you follow his lead, you'll always only be spending $200 or less for like 100 - 200 domains. And you'll always sell a few.

First of all, I love what @Federer is doing. Second of all, to try to emulate his strategy without years and years of experience is literally impossible. He has probably reg'd close to 100k, maybe more, domains in his domaining journey and sold at least hundreds. He has seen first hand what sells. And I bet his lists that he combs through are many and probably include hundreds of thousands of pre-filtered names and spit out thousands of available ones he has to choose from. If you don't have those lists (which have taken years to accumulate), and years of experience, you're gonna fail 100% if you try to do what he's doing.

P.s. I was simply guessing about his methods. Probably involves more elaborate tactics as well.
