one of my recently regged .store TLD had around 214241 page visits.. in one week..

how can I determine the type of traffic ??
I tracked down the visit count using simple hit counter for each page visit

Should I belive it.. or its just been someone trying to screw just by visiting the website automatically through a script ?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
screenshot or it didn't happen... ;)

But kinda strange with a new reg with that massive visits... I would have kept it on parking... :P

I don't usually trust hit counters because the numbers are way off. You should keep it on Google Analytics to measure traffic or at least parking pages to know approx. numbers.
If you are still seeing increase in numbers, then add it to parking websites and you will know where are the visitors coming from.

I would have redirected it to one of my affiliate links (Amazon etc).

@Leela is the domain a major keyword..

For sure, spam bots are having free ride on your website. Referrer spam is a big problem nowadays. In most cases they target forms.

Some solutions:
- You can use captcha (hidden or visible) to protect the form.
- Better still, enforce limits to the number of times form can be submitted from same IP address (referrer ) within a given time interval.

You just gotta stick Google Analytics into it bruh. That should show you if they're real or not.

Do you have any stats from Google Analytics yet ?

But those numbers are too good to be true, my guess is since you have the contact from you are attracting lot of spam

But lets see the stats and even if you make 10% of those numbers from Google Analytics , then you got a gold mine buddy.

Cheers,
