It's hard to pick a best and worst, personally I like the most simple interface as possible, which puts Porkbun at the top of the list for me. For worst, GoDaddy usually takes the top spot, but for the sake of this post, I think I will go with Spaceship, as their site is so bloated. Structuring things as "Apps" on the website, rather than just a page makes no sense to me. Having 2 domain manager areas. Not having a quick "Manage Domains" link accessible on the header on all pages. From a business standpoint I get it, their end goal is to try and upsell as many services as possible, but not a good interface if you're primarily a domainer.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I've always been a fan of namecheaps user interface. Super slick and intuitive. I know they operate spaceship so it's unfortunate hearing you didn't have a good time using that service. Do you have thoughts on namecheap? Like/dislike?

As for worst, yes it's godaddy, but a close second is IONOS. I used them once and never went back. Very difficult to navigate.

I will give Spaceship the trophy because of the creativity, Sav the simplest one, Dynadot number three and then come the sweet porkbun (:

Namecheap prices are not that cheap and I don't want to use a registrar that pushes politics and censorship (which is their right as a business) rather than just focusing on their core domain business.

I’m not sure who the best is, but I know the worst service is from #Cosmotown. Do not use them!

Yeah, I bought a domain from someone around 10 years ago who would only push it to a cosmotown, so I had to use them. I remember the whole process being super confusing. They have cheap prices, but the savings doesn't justify using their site

I was wondering about Namecheap too. I heard they're pretty good, so I'm considering giving them a go.

On Wikipedia however, I read they discontinued accounts by Russian registrants. I don't like that really, because with that kind of action you sanction average Russians rather than the government of Russia. Now I'm not in Russia, I'm in the European Union, so I think I should be fine using Namecheap, but then I wonder: if someone makes certain political comments on his/her blog, would this be risky too if the domain is registered with Namecheap?

On the other hand, I heard a lot of very positive comments about Namecheap.

I also hear a lot of praise about NameSilo and Porkbun.
However, I tried to create a Porkbun account and buy a domain there, and this didn't work out ; I contacted their support but couldn't reach them at all.
