A joint venture between New Zealand's largest domain and hosting company and registrars of dot kiwi domains was formed to put hold some 200000 .KIWI domains for one year. The move was to protect these domains from misuse and giving time to their owners to develop their domain strategy.

I'm from New Zealand and a lot of elderly have been scammed recently from .Kiwi domains. In New Zealand when things like this happen action is usually taken immediately
