Hi, This is Rich Trader. I have been in the domain game since jan 2016. But haven't made even a single sale yet. I own 32 domains. But not even a single sold. I have invested money in buying and renewals.Any suggestion on how to sell would be welcome.

Hi Rich: I've been a domainer for almost 20 years now and I'm sorry to tell you that in my opinion the names you listed are of very little value, if any. I'd suggest selling them all and buying one good name to sit on as an investment if you're doing this part time. If you're willing to devote more time and money, I'd suggest picking out a single word or two word dot com that you can afford. Good luck domaining!
Mike

Like what you posted from your portfolio on your list, you have just registered domains at all cost; I 'm seen non of those name posted good. So it is not possible to sell any. Sorry to say that. but that is factual.
Even if you post those domains here for sale, I doubt any domainer can buy any of them at reg fee.

Please go ahead and read more so that you can learn many materials on what make good domains Domaining is like every other business that you need to learn so many intricacies on what sells and what are the hot trends and whereby to ride upon like a horse.

It is not by force that you must registered domain at all cost when you could not get any good one; all you needed to do when there is no more available good name/s in a particular niche, is to leave that niche alone and keep searching for other niches

Cheers.

@Rich Trader if you really want a sale why not list a few for bargain prices here on NP or on eBay? Or you could try GoDaddy $20 start and if you chance a first bid the bots might go crazy over one. That's what I'm praying for next Thursday :)

Just because you like a domain that you find, it will not automatically make it a good one. Base your picks on data such as: previous similar sales, CPC, search volume, proven trends etc. Participate in auctions and snap good drops.

Random hand-regs will not make you successful. Most of these name will not sell at all, at least not for more than peanuts. That is the honest and simple truth...

Best of luck!

I know that you're doing great with ngtlds and that you can make a lot of cash dealing with high CPC and search volume domains, but there are other ways as well to make a profit. I have never bought anything from the aftermarket, I don't follow CPC and search volume, but still I have made over 10k profit. Some are dealing just with brandables, some are dealing just with acronyms, some just with geo's...important is that you have to know what are you doing all the time.

Mike, this will be a great price for somebody who has experience and who knows what he's doing. If you send him to buy a high value domain, it could be possible that he will not know what he needs to buy and he will overpay or that he will buy the wrong domain, which he could end by not selling it. I think that it will be easier for him to take it step by step and buy hand reg's with coupons, sell them first for xx, than xxx, than xxxx and after that he could start investing in high value domains.

Yes!

Still your are dealing with good names that obviously sell. And you'll need knowledge and some experience to find those. CPC, search volume were just examples. Even for brandables you can use existing data, at least to some extent. For geo's, no doubt...

It's true, I was referring mostly to this phrase: 'Just because you like a domain that you find, it will not automatically make it a good one' If I really like a domain, I will follow my instinct and buy it, without checking anything about it, because I'm thinking that if I like it, for sure I can find somebody who will like it as well. Of course, I can trust my instinct after trading hundreds of domains, probably if I would have done this before I have sold any domains, I would have made lots of mistakes.

Good points boker! Like in any business, it's important to learn what you're doing right before spending any money. Domainers can pay a very high price for an education. Fortunately, my cheap side stopped me from doing that! I hope everyone whose new to domaining is as fortunate! Don't get the idea I've made millions. I haven't!

Honestly speaking you don't have any good domain. Read lots of blogs related to domaining to understand which domain can have a great value.Research daily sales on Namebio .

I'd suggest selling them all

A name with "very little value" is very hard to sell. Names which sell for $xx on NP auctions are often "decent".

"blockchain1001.com" might be worth shoving on a market somewhere, NPs, or Flippa maybe..? Not 100% sure if it's worth it. It's one of those which might sell or never sell. The crypto market is a bit hard to read at the moment.

Hi
As per recommendation, I have put up a domain name for auction here on NP.
Thanks

Easy come easy go... when you make money easily, you are more likely to make bad investment decisions

Domain name is more like land and less like stocks or casinos. Each domain name is unique and you get most money selling to the end user (one who needs the name for a business) other traders will not pay much.

“Investing” is not “trading”. Investing is like cooking. If you follow the recipe exactly, it will taste good only if the chef did not hide any steps or ingredients. You also can’t mix different recipes from different chefs and expect it to taste good.

If you not getting any to burn then it probably is the quality skim them drop some and move on.
I am restraining myself from buying unless something stands out that is a must. Cull cull cull i do it.

And certain fish like certain bait.
If they don't bite after a while you have to change the bait. (y)

Invest in present/future industries and domains with liquidity, IMO.

Have patience and a long-term mindset! :)

This thread is a treasure trove of information for a guy like me! Great feedback from so many. Really appreciate the amount of time and energy people spend sharing their knowledge and experience

Has inspired me to do the below!
Over the next week I'm going to put together a full list of my domains - roughy 60 so far, where their listed, price paid, asking price, reason for purchase, ones I'm going to drop/keep if I could get the same level of honest feedback as on this thread that would be amazing
