I really like what Badger had done with his golf site (www.golf.sc) by putting
in the links on the left hand side that relate directly to the topic of the site.
This is exactly what I want to do with several of my sites that are parked
at 1Plus.

In a recent post he gave the following instructions on how to do this:
"Simple. Once logged on, go to 'my news links' and create your set of links.
Then, go to 'edit' the domain you wish to show these new links on and enable
the news set you have just created."

The interface that I have with 1Plus does not seem to jive with his
instructions. Or, perhaps, I simply am not getting it.

Does anyone have a more detailed set of instruction because I cannot seem
to make it work with the above set of instructions?

Thank you,

Jon

You have asked a question that I REALLY would like an answer to. :bingo:

That makes two of us that are confused.

I don't feel lonely anymore. :D

On the right hand side of 1plus.net under the personal Parking section (Should be purple) third link down should say My News Links. click that and the page that loads will have the default links and should have a link to add links then create your category, and add links

BTW they are not so much links as they are pages with keywords, for the feeds to come in, please verify if I am correct on this Badger.

Nukem:

Thanks for the reply . . . however I am still a bit confused.

Let's see if I got this right:

- I go to the "Domains" page and click on "edit" for lets say
a domain called xyzdigitalproducts.com
- I then go to the right hand side of the page and click on
"my news links."
- Now I am at page where, at the top, it says "Add Links."
Below "Add Links" are two boxes. One has "Name" next
it and the other is a bigger box with "Description" next it.

My confusion is . . . "where do I go from here?" I am not sure
what I am suppose to put in these two boxes.

For xyzdigitalproducts.com (just a name I made up) - let's say I want
to have news links (i.e. feeds) on various products like digital cameras, mp3
players, digital recorders, etc. . . what exactly am I suppose to put in these
two boxes to get the news feeds for these types of products?

I did a search on "cnn rss feed" and was given the option to have an rss feed
on the subject of "technology" from cnn. But I am a bit confused at to where
I would put the cnn rss link, assuming that this is even doable.

Any further clarification that you or anyone else in the forum can offer will
be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Jon

Adsense code question

I'm really interested in 1plus and am wondering if it's possible to swap out the news links w/my google ads?

I want adsense on the left and news links on the right. Does anyone know if that's possible? If not, I'll do the whypark thing, I guess.

Looking for the most economical way to get what I want. :hehe:
Thanks,
Di

Not sure if you can do the RSS feed there, basically the way I understand it by looking at it, the links you build are seperate pages within xyzdigitalproducts.com which can then be set up to display there own search results for the feeds. Im not sure if this is correct information, as I am still playing around with 1Plus myself, but from what I saw on Badgers site, and the set up of links thats all it is, you can specific keyword target different Pages on the site, but not build the content on the page itself. Still waiting for Badger to verify if I am correct on this.

Not sure about that one, i have not seen any advanced editing functionality for a swap like that.

What is disturbing to me is that this feature is suppose to be one selling
points of 1Plus, and no where on their site can I find any explanation on how
to do this. This is unfortunate, because I really believe that relevant news
feeds that relate to the topic and keyphrases of the site add alot of value.

I like what Badger did with his golf.sc site. I would simply like to do the same
with the sites that I have parked at 1Plus.

Namepro member Artful did a terrific step-by-step guide on how to set up
an evening news template with google adwords at 1Plus. But it would also
be nice to see the folks at 1Plus give some guidance and "detailed"
instructions on how to optimize the sites we have parked with them.

I certainly hope I'm not asking for too much with this suggestion.

I certainly understand your concern, but Like I said, I think you have to add the name of the link, and then categorize the link and add the keywords yourself for each and every link, this in turn drives the feeds into tthe website, I will play around with it a little more and see if I can come up with a better answer for you.

Badger is usually top notch in answering questions here on NP, I think he may have been tied up with something else that took precedence. Don't sweat it, there will be an answer.

Step by Step Instructions for 1Plus

Attached (bear with me - this is the first time I am trying an attachment. Not sure how it works yet.) is the latest version of my "A Step-by-Step Guide to Optimizing Your Use of 1Plus.net". This should answer most of your questions for the settings. You may have to scan down to the appropriate section for a specific setting.

I have had good performance at 1Plus using these settings.

Cheers!

Artful:

What can I say . . . you're a Rock Star!

That is exactly what I am looking for. I really appreciate your efforts in
helping us put together our 1Plus sites.

Nukeum, I appreciate your help too. Unfortunately, I have always been a
marketing guy who needs detailed step-by-step instructions when it
comes to technology.

Good luck and much success with your 1Plus sites everyone.

Nukeum:

No apology necessary. Trust me . . . all help is appreciated. I just wish
I had a better understanding of the technology side of this business so
I would not need the step-by-step guides.

Was hoping all the promised changes and improvements would be here by now. For the last month or three, my earnings and CTR rates have been horrible. It's probably my fault, so I'll give Artful's instructions a try to see if they help. Can't get much worse. For the last seven days:

(from Adsense channel reports)
553 impressions
20 clicks
3.62% CTR
$1.63 earnings

search queries 107
clicks 0
0% CTR
$0.00 earnings

verbster, I dont think 3.62% is all that bad. I think they bigger issue is your keyword is only paying around 8c, this isnt really 1plus's fault. Perhaps try a higher paying keyword?

If you would like some help email / pm me the site and ill have a look for you and see if I can find higher paying keywords for you to try.

All the best,
Aaron

Very informative thread on how to use 1plus.net. Thanks to all

This thread got me to give 1plus a try.
I want to thank ArtFulWebSites (rep will be coming) for the step-by-step. Using that it took me about 2 hours to get 9 domains uploaded and functioning.

7 are xxxxxxrealty.us and 2 are xxxyyyrealty.com and I have a question about what to use as the category/sub-category for real estate related names. I didn't see anything which seemed 'just right' and ended up with mostly homes/property. Still need to do some 'fine tuning' of titles and meta keywords but...

Frustration abounds!

Hey Gang!
This is mostly to badger but I'd appreciate any input as I'm not as bright as Harp and have been working on this off and on since Thursday!

Also, a big TY to Joe! w/o his mini-manual, I'd a been lost!
Go look at ellepop.com and see if you know how to fix any of this mess, please:

1. "Page not found" for banner. I KNOW how to do an adsense ad and can't figger out what's wrong here.

2. Check out the custome links. Some say 403 or 404 (don't remember) in search box and in the page title but page is formatted correctly and the adsense is beautifully targeted. Also the block of links toward the right all say 403 or 404. I don't know what kind of error I made.

3. The other links list my entire list of keyords in the title and search box and therefore the page goes on forever to the right. Much scrolling has to take place b4 you find the adsense. YIKES!

4. Of course, I could go back and rip out the keywords I worked so hard on. I don't want to do that! I worked hard to get good adsense ads! Is there any way to get the keywords to be invisible (as they should be?)

5. I want to set up some plain ole parking pages. How do I get to use one of the new templates or at least the one w/the cellphone header (I have a cellphone expired domain). I do NOT want the one that's served! It has 3 unattractive icons on the left, a huge gaping hole for most of the page and a few pertinent links on the far right.

Any help would be appreciated, I get no response from admin.

Smiles across the miles,
Di
P.S 1/2 way through pasting my adsense ads into the edit function, It stopped, just stopped cold. 2 Pasted in just fine but now my browser's edit button can't get it to paste and neither does ctl v. Anybody know how to fix this?
