Now, i found another cheap registration site, also an ICANN accredit registrar. Who has tried them?

Dont use it you cant push names in to another account and if you buy names with them its necessary that you host with them too its a bad mistake to reg names with them

I try and stay away from less popular registrars... they are less popular for a reason.

Try sticking with major registrars as they are always on the move with new devs and offerings not to mention new extentions...

I agree, I love registrars that constantly improve their services or offer "useful" tools vs. registrars who compete solely on price.

they are owned by your buddies over there at sedo. stay away because even tho they are low priced, your domain is locked onto their servers. Horrible!

if you use 1&1 you will have no control over your domain also if you have another contract with them and pay slightly late they will not only suspend the account that is late but also all other accounts you have regardless of how long you have left.

I signed up for the 1and1.com 3 years of free hosting when they had that offer going.

I buy my domains elsewhere, but their hosting seems fine. It's pretty full featured, but their web interface is a bit slow.

I was going to recommend them for domain registrations as well, but I've heard ONLY negative things about them: can't transfer a domain out, can't change nameservers easily, etc.

What's also interesting is that their DNS servers seem to be set so that it takes longer to update than most servers. So when you change hosts for a domain name, instead of propagating within 24-48 hours, it seems to take 72+.

I wouldn't buy my domain names at 1and1.com either. Their web interface, as rb as pointed out, is very slow, and a bit complicated and on the surface.

I am not saying the cheap registrars are the best. Since the thread started for the cheap registration available, I want to share with what I know. Thanks.
