A lot of domain investors also invest in crypto currency it seems as of late. I usually feel pretty confident that a domain I carefully acquire today will be a 10x+ my investment including holding time. If say, I were to buy bitcoin today, is it feasible that i would get 10x my money?

crypto took big beating with luna then ftx. its gameover for most. as always way more losers than winners. it's an unregulated casino for crooks like ftx and others to profit.. while small guys and investors go broke. consider yourself llucky and definitely part of minority if u got more crypto money now than before luna and ftx events.

You know I actually made money with LUNA, I’ll tell you what saved me on that one. I was up big on that one and I use price alerts with all my holdings. So my price alert with LUNA went off and was wondering what was going on since I set it pretty low and it started to tank. Sold it just in time to make about 30%. Everybody should be using price alerts if you’re serious about crypto, you can also see it as a crash alert. I use this after testing a few out:

Depends if you’re glass empty/full type person. I’m taking advantage of these prices as I posted above

yea price alerts rock.. kucoin has nice ones... binance sucks... I never knew exchange could be so nice and fast etc b4 I switched binance to kucoin... plus binance alerts suck..or not there ... cant recall. anyway binance look bad joke vs kucoin...

well I've been playing with around 10k of domain sales into crypto for couple years now... sometimes up...or down u know drill... I think lowest I ever went was 3k... it's totally thanks to 30milon lunc I bought at around 0.00009 that not long ago I went to 12k...when lunc spiked... then ftx happened.. back down... anyway I'm all in bought back with 40milion lunc at 0.00018... just a day ago it went back to this number hopefully it hits 0.00023 or hell maybe it even goes to 1cent one day heheh...what u think? I mean it was like 200 bucks max once no? ;) 40milion lunc at 1cent... if my math right that's a cool 400k hehehe

Crypto is experiencing a current "up." I mean, it's laughable but still higher than 2017, anyway.

Imho, it won't last too long. GOtta wait until 2024+ before btc is again at a new ATH and then all your holdings should be up.

I think alts are where it's at, though. There's so many new ones that just keep pouring in given that it's easier to make a token nowadays. Don't invest a lot into one particular alt, but it's probably an easy 2x to make/lose. But that's why it's always about the research.

I'm not saying crypto is a scam.
It's rather surrounded more with uncertainties unlike domain.

I would rather go with domains.

They made most of it on porn in the past, today they make most of it suckering incels into internet "man coaching". They hire people to do one on ones reading off some template on Discord/wherever.

Not sure how everybody else is doing it but just finished up my crypto taxes, very easy. I'm using cointracker.io. Depending on where you're doing stuff. Some places just have to export transactions, then upload them, like a crypto.com. Other places you can just sync up, like Coinbase and Binance.us. Then you can generate the forms on the site. I think you just need the IRS Form 8949, but I download everything they got anyways. Used this last year, just used it now, took about 10 minutes. Then I just hand it all to my accountant and let him work his magic.

And we have the Bitcoin halving coming next year, around April 5, 2024 - https://buybitcoinworldwide.com/halving/

And it's gone up after the past halvings - https://cointelegraph.com/bitcoin-f...the-halving-cycle-work-and-why-does-it-matter

Bitcoin, you could always pull away cash with the slightest lost
I think I'm on a 50% loss on my bitcoin investment so if you can tell me how to get it out with a slight loss I'm interested to know ☺️

The hype has gone though. I suppose it could come back but I'm not sure people will be as excitable next time

no... it always comes back higher. I have good sources and experience. I've been through 2 bull cycles now. Third one is coming up in 2 years tops.

a little late to inv. in btc right now.

I invested at price levels on $17k - $21k.

Next bullrun 2024 definitely incoming.

However, there are many cryptos that are underrated atm.

Especially, AI focused cryptos like render.

Good luck.

Bitcoin is liquid, while domains are not fungible. 10x on btc is more realistic within 5-10 year frame, or next year if ETF gets approved to BlackRock by the SEC.

While in domains you need a higher entry point to get a highly liquid domain, domains are lottery tickets.

Not true. I regularly funge my domains. It keeps them looking shiny and new.
