Welcome @Wiffty! Do you plan to get involved in UK names (.co.uk / .uk) or mainly .coms or a mixture of TLDs?

Lots of experienced members here could give you good advice. I think it really depends on a budget and strategy. Also, if you will be doing it part time or full time.

Strategy?
Do you plan to buy better names (generally more expensive) and try to flip them quicker OR buy domains with possible potential and prepare to hold onto them for a few months or years.

Budget?
Do you have $50 to invest or $5000? Obviously you have more freedom with a bigger budget and your turnaround (flipping time) should be quicker. That is to say if go the flipping route.

Namepros.com is an excellent resource for a beginner. READ and LEARN a lot on here!

Check out Domainlore.uk, which is a UK exclusive auction platform.

Also look at the Auction and For sale areas here on the forum.

Feel free to ask if you have specific questions!
