1 vs 2 Click Lander

Hi,

What works better for you guys, generally speaking...1 or 2 click lander pages?
Better in regards to the bottom line.

They say, I believe, that 2 click landers are better - because ultimately the results are more refined, hence the user is more likely to click.


But my short analysis says they're roughly the same, if not the 1 being better.

We operate second-tier ads. That means we can put same ads on 1-click as we can with 2-click. I've found 2-click to be so much better as to remove the option of even having 1-click.

Conversions are better which increases your bottom-line revenue. Overall, 2-click just completely outperforms 1-click if you have the RIGHT keywords. People are more inclined to click on ads this way. That's just my analysis, but other companies with different setups might think differently.

The first click helps the user narrow down what they wanted and the second click pays more because the click-er has been specific about what they are after. One click landers pay less because its harder to know if they really wanted what they clicked on. If you've got quality traffic and you know what your users want the two click will outperform. If your domain is not so pristine, a one click lander may perform better since you will at least get some curiosity clicks.

If I was an advertiser I'd only be willing to pay for the two click model.

iv always thought 1 was better being parked pages usually don't have any good info therefor if any one was to click once just to see more links they would probably leave before clicking just my assumption !
but you know what they say to assume ?! :lol:

I get fewer clicks on 2-click landers, but they tend to pay more.

Generally speaking, I have found that I can squeeze more money from US traffic with one click ads, and non US traffic tends to generate more money through two click advertisements. There are exceptions to this so I recommend testing all domains with both one and two click advertisements. You never know until you test.

I have had much better results with 2 click landers. They allow the user to choose exactly what they are looking for.
