Do you know any top-level domains that allow 1 letter/number domains?

.cn(China) allows 1 letter domains.

A live example is 6.cn which is a popular site that ranked #8 in China by Alexa. Some other 1 letter/number domains are in use too. But most of them are registered by the same company that owns net.cn (corruption?)

.md, .kn, .vu, .gd spring to mind.
I beleive all the one character domains are registered, so you'll have to look on the secondary market (Expect to pay low $xxxx for the poorer quality characters and a lot more for the better ones)
I have 6.md for sale in the 'High Price' domain sales forum, and know other NP members hold a few others (1character.com has a nice collection).

.kg and .kz

There's even -.kg and -.kz (try typing that into your browser)

I believe there are still some 1 character IDN that are available, but of course they are nowhere near as valuable as Ascii 1 char. I have a few in Greek in an obscure high priced extension just for fun (big fan of Greek here, and used to be able to say the Greek alphabet faster backwards than most people can recite the English alphabet forwards.) No traffic to speak of, but I am also a collector of just about everything collectible, and as mentioned bought the letters for fun.

Yep, all the 1 character domains were bought out a while ago. Is there a minimum resale value of 1 Number ccTLDs?

Besides the extensions named here, .tv does accept 1 letter/numbers as well.

Why do some extensions allow 1 char and others doesn't allow 1 or even 2 char? What are the reasons for not allowing?

The reason usually given is potential future expansion to second level extensions (i.e. .co.uk).

Or sometimes, to be able to sell them at a premium :alien:

Applications for one or two characters domain may be considered, with a possible surcharge if this domain is considered as Premium

Yep, far as I know.

There are a few two letter domains out there in the wild, maybe some two number. It would take very little attention to clear the table of them.

676 X the small number of countries that allow two letter domains.
