I’m getting 450+ hits every hour, based on the numbers how much should I charge for streaming video commercials?

If I charge by the length of the video…
2 minutes and under?
3 minutes and under?
4 minutes and under?
5 minutes and under?
10 minutes and under?

Assuming the Bit rate is around 500-750 & the advertiser would encode according to my specification.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated,
Thank you,
Blastoff

In order to answer the question more details are needed. 450 hits per hour is a very nice number! However, there are tons of questions that would have to be cleared first:

topic of the site
target group of users
average time on site
bot vs. real user ratio
how will videos be displayed
charge per video and length of video
or
charge per view
what will you do to increase traffic and guide traffic to my video...

You see where i'm taking this. As an advertiser, before i pay any money, i want to know that my investment will see some level of return that can be calculated to a certain extent.

That is a great amount of hits indeed. But just as IntelBank says you have to consider those things. However chances are it might be best to charge per length and try not to have videos over two or three minutes long.

And is it 'hits' or 'visitors' per hour? There is a huge difference. One visitor can leave dozens or even hundreds of hits depending on how they are being counted.

Hi guys,

Good point(s), I’m trying to wrap my head around the demographics now. As far as visitors and hits, I almost sure its visitors as the sites is not even registered on google or for that matter any search engine yet and I'm sure there are no links in and it is 450+ visitors per hour.

Charging per length is a good idea but, I would also like to learn the demographics. Does anyone know how I might go about doing this? For example, how can I learn the answers to two of the questions that IB posted: Who are my visitors are and how long each is staying? I really appreciate your input. Thanks guys.
