I would say the younger generations might not have the same work ethic, but at the same time they are working for far less than older generations were when you factor in cost of goods, so I don't really blame them. The salaries have not kept up with rising costs of real estate, education, healthcare, etc.
The younger generations also have more power in the system with a shortage of labor.
Businesses are all about supply and demand.
Now there is a limited supply of workers willing to work jobs for terrible wages. That demand for workers should drive wages up.
Companies need to adjust. I am sick of hearing companies bitch about not being able to find workers. There is no shortage of workers willing to work for reasonable wages.
If an employer can't pay reasonable wages, they might not have a viable business model.
