So, I got a mail from my registrar requesting for fast transfer for names I never listed on Afternic. When I checked on Afternic, the names were actually there, listed. It got me wondering.
If giving your consent to an Afternic Fast Transfer request entails a transfer happening without your input wouldn't acceptance be a loophole in the system for scammers to exploit? Isn't that another way to steal domain names?
If one accepts such request, how does he or she get his money since the account holding it on Afternic is not his or her own? Or am I missing something here? This request came for about 7 names I listed on a Brandable market. This is the first time I'm experiencing this.
