I got Letter from GoDaddy saying .Mobi domains for mobil devices. Tell me what you heard about them.

It's in Sunrise right now, meaning only those who have Registered TMs can apply for those domains. I think it's a completely unneccesary extension, but it'll be interesting to see how it does.
If you understand the underlying purpose of .mobi, than your opinion would be much different. I wrote a couple articles in my blog about .mobi, check them out in the link in my sig.briman1970 said:.mobi is the next .name
Crap... pure crap.
slipxaway said:Once the extension catches on, I can see mobile device manufacturers setting .mobi as the default extension for those mobile devices, which in a way will make users think that is the only extension in which they can find mobile content. This will obviously lead to mobile users not getting the full breadth of content available to them, as well as limit the viability of websites in other extensions offering mobile content. I don't really see anything beneficial about this.

slipxaway said:Of course I do, but that doesn't negate the fact that the extension is still entirely unneccesary. Just because something has value to a very small segment of people looking to profit, doesn't mean that it is good for the whole of the Internet.
