Well, I know the strategy of outbounding is one that already gives the client the upper hand in negotiations — that is, if they end up being interested in the domain. On top of that, outbounding itself is a tough strategy, where out of hundreds or sometimes thousands, you end up with actual leads and clients for your domains.

But I feel like I can get better at this, and therefore I pose a question:
How can I get better at outbounding?
What are the do's and don'ts?

in outbound you have targeted and not so targeted.

targeted means you look at the name and make a list of 30-50 best targets. You then try contacting via email, LinkedIn, phone, and you explain why you are contacting them, the price and escrow.com for safety. Nobody really does this consistently, some claim they do, but consistently nobody does this. The chances of selling anything is low.

not so targeted means you will email a few thousand people and try using automation to contact them by LinkedIn and phone. This is good with names under 2k and still, usually not worth it.

Your awareness is already a strength. Maybe test different pitches to see what gets more responses—small tweaks can matter
