I think it only means that IF you took a hostingplan along, that it's immediately for 1 year.
I started the discussion about this item 14, because the word "plan" puzzled me.
But I'm pretty convinced that you can transfer out the domain out after 60 days if you didn't attach hosting to it....or they could get into serious trouble. (but you won't get money back for the 1 year hosting you payed if you took hostingplan along).
Several people here say different things I see in the reactions above. I presume that at the company there are many people on the telephone and 1 there knows the truth better then the other.
I think they are in a panicsituation right now and handled as such : I mean the reaction to people with lots of names and got refunding and cancellation of account and registrations. I'm not one of them for the moment. I even got today a thank you mail I became a member and registerred domains.
As they refund they at least are that honest. But they should have sent mails when they did.
The question remains where the cancelled domains got to : reregisterrable ???
I hope people made printscreens when registerring so much domains, or making an account, etc... if people really want to go to icann with this.
I was intending to register more domains today, as the promotion said till 5th of december. Guess that's not gonna happen now. In any case
@jmaurya the post of jmaurya proofs it's finished.
Did anybody make printscreen of beginning, when it said till 5 december ?
But there are more registrars who sometimes have only a particular amount of promotion-domains from the registry, end their promotion earlier. I even saw that happening Even with different big registrars. Because of timezones, there always can be discussions : That's why for instance Dynadot now publishes in his sales-letter or post or blog the exact time UTC / GMT (Greenwich Mean Time), when a promotion stops. You can find how late that exactly is, going to
https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ and look there for the list with the cities all over the world. (worldclock I guess), scroll down and you see UTC/GMT at the right. But even then sometimes they have to change a bit sooner if registry does something strange with promotion to them. About that clocksite : that TOOL is very interesting if winterhour or summerhour comes along : in the States and Europe it sometimes differs from country to country. But it's also interesting when you travel.
And for Godaddy : They usually don't publish any hours AT ALL So you couldn't complain.
I'm not 100% sure but this time they used a clock with days and hours tiking. But with their clock there was something strange. Did they skip some hour or finished sooner (I thought so b ut I can be wrong) ? Anyhow a certain promotion went on for a quarter of an hour after the clock stopped.
And we have to admit : The previous promotions at blackfriday and the weekend after it and cybermonday of previous years at Namecheap for instance, wasn't so funny : Every hour you had to sit there, and sometimes in seconds or minutes a given promotion was gone for merely 1 to 5 domainnames A/hour. But their promotionprices wihtout that everyhourpromotions this year was not a good subsitution of that because of the high prices the "promotions" still had..
On the other hand they (I mean this company that works with GPB) could have made a promotion with max 50 / account etc...
In any case this whole discussion shows that Namepros itself has a lot of influence........if promotions are acounced of yet unknown registrars to members....and cause a mass of applications/registrations.
