Hello NamePros!
By popular demand, we have launched a dedicated feedback thread for Afternic, the GoDaddy-owned domain name marketplace.

We have created this thread as a way for you to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and what features you'd like to see at Afternic (please be constructive with your feedback). We're looking forward to hearing from the domain investment community to help us shape the future of Afternic.

We will also be sharing Afternic product updates in this thread.

Please note that this thread is not meant for support. Please email our support team at [email protected] for assistance.

I just turned it on so that I can then turn it off in the near future. Maximum fun.

Aaaand I think I'll turn the Boost off. It doesn't increase reg path visibility at all for .now domains (the only reason I experimented with it). For example I search for 'bonus', GoDaddy shows bonusnow.org (hand reg), not "boosted" bonus.now among the top 80 search results or whatever the hell the number is. Extra 5% commission just to display the 'verified domain' badge, yeah I don't think so.

Should Boost have failed to produce any measurable uplift, you are invited to register your Quick Reply appreciation in the following thread:

Does afternic seem broken after they released that last update of request price showing bins that are under $5k. Maybe it’s season, economic, or World Cup related, but seems Afternic sales just collapsed.

Views = direct visits to your Afternic lander
Total searches = the number of exact-match searches of your domain name through GoDaddy search (counting repeated searches by the same user)
Unique searches = the number of individual users who searched for your domain
Thanks for the info!

Is there a way to see if the traffic directly to the AN lander (views) is unique visitors?

Are any of the above three metrics more susceptible to bots than the others?

They prioritize the .com followed by their bundles and any TLD that I'm assuming pays to be at the top so better extensions like .now are usually not in eyes view meanwhile it is shown in the top 10 at Porkbun and top 20 at Dynadot.

.now is not a recognized extension in the auction search yet either.

It's been a year since my last sale on Afternic and there is no alternative 😂

Afternic has more stalls than a travel center.

I can not get nameservers to show that I have changed to the Afternic nameserver on my dashboard. Previously there was an option to refresh it, but that no longer exists after an change a few days ago.

Is there a way to update it?

You can use the checkbox next to the domain, then select "Refresh Afternic NS" in the menu that appears below. Then, click "Refresh Data" to see the change.

Up to 2 days ago, I could do that, but as of yesterday. The dashboard changed. It now shows a checkmark if on Afternic nameserver or "change ns" if not recognizing it on Afternic nameserver instead of yes or no and the refresh data. Clicked on the "change ns" and it just explains how to change to afternic nameserver.

By "checkbox" I'm referring to the checkbox positioned to the left of the domain name.

Are you on PC or mobile?

I made a chrome extension that puts two new clickable boxes on the @afternic domains page to highlight new daily searches and views. The current 30 day views/searches is great but it's hard to spot spikes or new interest at a glance. This extension is quite crude and I'm sure… pic.twitter.com/ru5NMsyQr2

I see that names priced at $10K or below that are set to Request Price will now instantly show the price once the form is submitted.

Is there any way for us to know/see that someone requested a price on our names? Any stats we can see?

***UPDATE – This Now Seems Resolved – I have been able to add a number without issues just now. Thanks to Afternic for quickly resolving.***

I am getting this message pretty often (e.g. 3 times out of last 7 new listings today) lately. It is somewhat irritating to a workflow as you need to note which domain names had it and remember to go back in 24 to 48 hr and try listing them again. This never used to happen (well maybe extremely rarely), so I hope whatever change created it can be improved. The advantage of self-verification is largely lost when a significant number of names are successfully verified, but not accepted until a significant delay. Thank you.

We’ve verified your ownership of these domains, but our system is still syncing these changes. Please try to add them again later. If this persists for longer than a day, please contact us.
Update: Seems getting close to all new attempted listings this morning going that route. Hand regs, auction wins, etc. Are others seeing this? @James Iles
