Has anyone used undeveloped.com to sell domains? They claim to be able to increase a domainers sales by 54%.

I was checking my names today and saw I have 597 for sale.

Okay, I may be wrong, but for the past few days I am pretty sure it was 598. It's been in my head because every time I go to the dashboard I keep seeing the same numbers since last week. All other numbers are the same, but maybe not this one.

Its only landers, so there is no risk of actually losing a domain name, but I cannot get over the 597 thing.

No matter where I poke around, I dont see signs of a sale or something "in play". But the fact stats are updating weird and things like sort order or max number of items listed doesn't "stick", this 597 thing bugs me.

Anybody see this yet ? It's not a big issue even if it is real, but I cant find anywhere I deleted a name nor a name sold or in progress of something.

Please "Dan" fix all the broken stuff before you go after bigger goals. I may be totally wrong about the 597 thing, but its been days since we had proper stats or settings sticking like they should.
Yes I found a name is removed from the stats too. I have 99 listed, then yesterday one disappeared. I could not find which one it is, so I asked support. I was told something that did not make sense to me. They told me back in May I sold a name and it was in the list ...huh? It was not at all I am 100% and I added many names after that sale and the stats were O.K. So not sure what happened but support did not have clear conclusive answer. I was asked if I have a list to actually check the list but I dont have any list since I did not download it before.

1. Now visits are updating again but still stuck with the '25 per page' view.
25 per page is the default. At the top of the title for domains list by your right where it shows 25 per page, if you click on it you will have some options to view up to a maximum of 250 per page

The issue is that it keeps resetting to 25 whenever you visit other parts of the dashboard. Before it was not like that.

My issue regarding number of domains has been solved, it shows same as what I had.

You guys could confirm if there's issue by doing this;

Take a look at domains listed on your dashboard and then compare it with the number of domains by right clicking your name on top right and clicking portfolio.

We're looking into this issue.

25 per page is the default. At the top of the title for domains list by your right where it shows 25 per page, if you click on it you will have some options to view up to a maximum of 250 per page

This will be fixed today.

I had another sell, the bot didn't give me an option to choose from transfer/push instead it was the same message Simon used to send before DAN.

Is this normal or how bot is supposed to work? @Reza

That depends on a number of variables:

1: The registrar of the domain
2: Registration date of the domain
3: The extension
4: Does the domain have a transfer lock yes or no

And a number of other variables. DAN can only work automatically if the criteria for it to kick in are present.

Could you please tell us here what the pointers are? So that we have those procedures in place?

Like could you give us a set criteria for above 4 points for DAN to work independently?

Likewise me, I have a name that was sold yesterday, nothing from Dan since I was asked if I would prefer push or transfer..
Is this how Dan was programmes to work?

Most of the transfer locks are policy based, if registrars agree to lift those under specific circumstanced (a sale transaction for example) better processes can be accomplished.

Is it ICANN policy based?
Or are those policies specific to each registrar? Like are registrars free to handle transfers however they want to?

Just noticed today

-The Last 2 names I add today to my portfolio with landers and set DNS to the usual undeveloped ....The landers show as "Not Secure " when visited ?

Is this something on my end of Dan?

Still showing "Not Secure" Today and it did the same thing to the lander I just added today....this was not happening a few days ago, even the on the launch day of Dan they were updating fine....this just started yesterday.

During today's transfer first I received a message from bot saying name: uamsterdamnl, then bot changed it to: dan
Which one is correct and how can I actually verify if the receiver is the one I want?

Update: OK, Simon replied that correct name is indeed: dan
However I must say I'm a bit disappointed by the speed of the transfer. It certainly isn't automated.
I've made a push at Dynadot and 12 hours later the domain is still pending?
Dynadot said that process is waiting for a confirmation from the receiver's account (Dan.com).
Obviously I can't get paid since its still processing and the buyer is waiting for his domain.
Honestly not so great experience so far.

It probably depends on the registrant side, in the end, dan can only speed up the process on their end, if the registrant doesn't want to meet in the middle (let's hope in the future) they can't do anything.

Just've noticed on main in the recent sales area, a seller with nickname "DAN Transfer Specialist". Is that even legal?

I receive so many emails daily so sometimes I miss DAN.com emails with "New offer" for domain names.

@Reza Is it possible to make something like visible notice on DAN.com dashboard informing you that you received new offer/lead and it's unreplied yet? As otherwise you need everytime to check "Sales activity page" not to miss new offers/leads.

Anyone experiencing problems with google analytics today? I've received 2 offers but didn't get any views. I was even on the analytics when I received an offer but I had 0 live users. It's like it got broken today.

Yes. Initially thought it was a case of no traffic but the duration shows something is wrong somewhere

I like the concept of DAN.COM so far and I have some suggestion to make it even better.

I'd like to see an option for buyers to choose "make offer" in a currency of their choice - similar as SEDO has. Or at least have an option to set BIN price in my currency of choice - without affecting default account currency.

Is that something you're planning to add @Reza ?

It would be great if currency for internal dashboard (as set in dan.com settings) is separated from domain offer currency.

Why?

For example: I sold domain in EUR so I will get paid in EUR, but I just switched to USD default currency (as industry standard). Now this transaction shows in dashboard in USD, but without currency conversion. As you know 100 EUR is not equal to 100 USD so stats data will be messed up.

@Reza please add an option to list domain with sell & rent landing page at the same time. So buyer can choose either buy or rent. This might help to get more revenue as some of the high-value domain names are not affordable for some people, but they could still rent it. Thank you

I see some confusion about what DAN offers today and which steps are required to make DAN work for all domains. Here's also a snapshot of a recent Q&A between me and OnlineDomain which sheds some light on what DAN can and can't do:

You say that domains managed in the DAN network are going to be transferred instantly. Will that only be true on the DAN registrar or on all registrars using your API?

Answer: For which domains we can offer 100% automated escrow always depends on third parties. For example .nl, .eu, .de transfers are done instantly and 100% automatically at DAN at the moment. For .com’s it’s more complicated due to the poorly designed policy that keeps the secondary market locked at the moment. When the domain sold itself can transfer freely, DAN can handle the transfers automated. If a domain is locked by the registrar, we have a fallback process in place and have automated the process to facilitate a domain push at the managing registrar.

Do you intent to circumvent ICANN’s policy and the 60-day inter-registrar transfer lock? How?

Answer: There’s a method that we tested which works to circumvent ICANN policy, however, we want to play the game nicely and so haven’t implemented that method. In the coming time we’ll organize talks with ICANN, if they want to hear us out to propose a new process for sellers. Currently, ICANN and registrars are holding our domains hostage and that has to stop. As a domain owner, you should at all times be able to unlock and transfer a domain. This is a simple but necessary feature to be introduced sooner than later. In our blog post I already shared best use cases of how non-ICANN aligned extensions have solved this issue and they are thriving. So all TLD operators should have a sense of urgency to change the old processes as the primary market has reached a certain cap in terms of growth, while the secondary market is becoming more often the primary market for the next generation businesses.

Amazon is offering a 2-hour delivery service for physical products, how come a digital product like domains cannot have the opportunity to navigate freely from one registrar & owner to another instantly?

I appreciate the kind words!

Together we'll get there. Once the dust settles a little we'll create a campaign to start collecting votes from domain owners to demand some changes. If we bundle our forces, we can accomplish anything.

Our goal is to introduce the exact same service level this seller gets to at least 90%-95% of our sellers.
Some things have to change for that to be possible, but as mentioned before, if we bundle our forces and make our demands heard, we can make it happen.

Please contact our support :). sometimes payments are blocked by either our bank, the intermediary bank or the receiving bank. Our team can investigate and contact our bank to resolve this issue easily.
