Ok, so you find a domain - what's the first thing you do?
Available, by any means (hand reg/auctions etc etc)
Ah, that changes it then as in,
-how did I end up finding that domain? was it actively searched for?.. if yes, then I'd regged it.
-If I found it by mistake then I'd do research to determine what 'type' it is, ie. brandable, keyword, geo, domain that could be monetized for its traffic, etc....and then I'd respond accordingly.
..that's a strange question to ask tbh though. It's like you don't know why you found a domain you were searching for in the first place? ...
Ok, let me try and simplify it a little. You have found a domain name, and are deciding whether or not to purchase it. What's the first thing you do? Are you an impulse buyer? Do you check Whois? Do you run keyword searches?
but, that's what I'm confused with, how did I end up finding that name?
It's not relevant. You have found it whether it be from an expired list, or GD Closeouts, that doesn't matter. Ok, so you've seen a domain name?
Ofc it matters. Do you think I've done all that research *not* to buy that name?
When I find free names after hours of research the only logical action is to purchase... why did I research them if I wasn't going to purchase them.
Again, I'm pretty sure we have a different approach to how we look for names so consider my answer as: I purchase them
