No racist, sexist, homophobic material that woudnt be acceptable in the 70s please.
We are ok with boobs and we are ok with men with abs (or whatever it is that makes them attractive). Ogling is healthy. Violence, not accepting that it is shallow and non-meaninful judge of people etc. is not. The most important virtue of this thread is respect for all.

Yep, just like on ebay, the same place that domainers whine and gripe about sellers who mislead buyers about the domains buy listing the wrong domain in the subject...
This character does the same!!!
CLICKBAIT by DOMAINERS is alive and well here on Nampros....

I'm going to start disliking all of those posts. They're plaguing every single thread, and, are quite annoying.

New Medical Technique Will Help Us Open Clogged Heart Arteries
Finally got around to watching it. Looks interesting... hopefully, it works as stated. MegaVac though? Sounds like something Dyson would name a new vacuum line as... not a medical device. Needs work.
Just like enlytend, I went there as well, but landed with Air France. Damn exciting when watching from the beach, but nerve wracking when landing. D-:

LOL... Only 800 e-mails? You have a much better chance than Hillary. :-D
Reminds me of the Air Disasters TV series. If you prefer not to watch the re-enactment, you can read about the KLM one at Tenerife instead.

It's already 200 calories per tart...

I eat 2-4 a day for my caloric needs. As I actually consume the calories to work in my favor, I know a lot of American's don't. And this is a terrible idea. But, I always believed in letting the consumer decide for themselves (to get diabetes, etc.).

I remember 300 baud modems....
But as the wire is laid correctly, soon all people in the USA can have that speed.

No diabetic I know, including myself and quite a few in the family (all sides) ever made the decision:
Hey, I think I will be a diabetic today.
And unless you have diabetes, it is no fun.
Read an article yesterday about a 13 year old girl with type 1 diabetes and how her mother checks her blood sugar level many times during the day and at night.
One of my wife's daughters is a type 1,.....not good for her, along with her bipolar and a couple of other problems she is fighting 24/7.
I know people going on dialysis 2-4 times a week.
I know people who died after losing toes, feet and legs to diabetes.

Respectfully, I would have to disagree.

From a young age, we are taught what causes diabetes. And, you should also be aware if you are already prone to it from family history, as that is also taught in health and awareness these days.

The moment you pick up a Pop-Tart, with this pre-existing knowledge in hand, filled with 200 calories, devour it, followed by 3 more (2 packs) in a single sitting for 800 calories, then go on to drink your Coca-Cola, etc. and choose not to excrete those calories in the form of physical activity, you are self-consciously making the decision to become a diabetic or die early from other food-related illnesses (obesity, heart disease, etc.).

tl;dr: I disagree; everyday people are making the choice to become diabetics.

I think Bri posted some cool Ellis Island pix a few pages back.
I was going thru some saved YT links and found this older (PBS?) doc.
It's 3 parts. Really cool pix and in depth personal stories.
It's pretty telling.

Ellis Island
The other two parts are auto listed.

Peace,
Cy

Thanks. That's why I also included other food related illnesses. What I said does in fact pertain mainly to T2, but, I wouldn't entirely dismiss diet as a role in T1 as well – whether that be the parent's diet (hereditary), or the child's.

About T1D

Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is an autoimmune disease in which a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin, a hormone that enables people to get energy from food. It occurs when the body’s immune system attacks and destroys the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas, called beta cells. While its causes are not yet entirely understood, scientists believe that both genetic factors and environmental triggers are involved. Its onset has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle. There is nothing you can do to prevent T1D, andβ€”at presentβ€”nothing you can do to get rid of it.

Bit of a gross oversimplification and over generalization, imho.
Diet is one of many factors. Exercise is one of many factors. Genetics are one of many factors.

Lack of exercise has been determined a bigger factor than diet; however, your risk is only reduced by 20% if you exercise up to about 60% if you do endurance exercise when you don't consider food.

If you think you can just eat for high caloric content and exercise makes it right? i think you should read on what calories you should be consuming. It will seriously help your body and your gym work.

I do think, though, you were being somewhat facetious ;)
