Have you realized people sometimes mis-type the acronym for Generic Top-level Domains as GLTDs, and not gTLDs ??

Here are some reference to the typos on NamePros:
And many other sites on the web, mistyping it as gLTDs: https://www.google.com/#q="GLTDs"

We recently snapped up GLTDs.com, which is ideal for a new gTLD registry startup. Share your thoughts!

This 5L.com may be used just for redirection, the name itself is stupid.

You apparently have no clue what you're talking about, but; that's your opinion.

yes, it is very common typo. What it is happening I do not know, but sometimes I do it myself.

Btw, I recently bought on Flippa name gTLDs.store, which I might use for my domains, but I have not yet decided :)

Not bad at all, seems good for selling newgtlds. How much you paid for it?

For this one I paid very low amount of money .. negligible.

Well back to GLTDs.com, I am honestly not really sure about it..first, it is typo. Second, even if spelled correctly, new gTLDs registry or reseller probably would opt for new gTLD name for his page. After all, they will be selling new gTLD names, no .coms.

To explain, it is if I would like to sell large amount of Nissan cars, and would persuade everybody how good these Nissans are, but sitting myself at Honda :)

That really doesn't make any sense. Why would a registry startup want a typo.

You're right about a ngtld registry opting for . whatever name, but GLTDs.com is only currently marketed to new registries as a typo for gTLDs, but it's not necessarily so.

There are other applications for the acronym/domain beyond the newgtld space.

Regarding your .store domain, is the renewal fees regular or premium?

People are querying Google for, and typing-in the typo domain? To redirect traffic? The question really is, why do you think (or why would) brands/companies buy typos?

They do present valuable type-in traffic. Have bought and sold typos myself.

It is for regular fee, at the moment I have it with Namecheap for 9.88 USD/year.

Why do people type hehehe instead of hahaha?

The answer to all questions:

Humanity.

My thought is that's stupid .... and I guess that means I apparently have no clue what I'm talking about, and; that's my opinion....

Can't agree that it's even worth reg fee.

It's an uncommon typo within the domain industry and even more uncommonly known outside.

Creation Date 21-oct-2016
You still have about two days to grace delete it and get $8.89 back*.

*I don't know Namecheap's exact grace delete procedure, just saw it on this outdated post.

Are you now referring to my domain gTLDs.store, or to @Potential.Domains name GLTDs.com ? :)

Yes, very possible you have no clue what you're talking about as stated; you have said nothing reasonable.

You forget new gtlds is still considered a new trend in the industry. Google monthly searches for "GLTDs" in the hundreds, and is actually becoming a common typo, even in the news.

This one is definitely worth the registration fee for us. As an experiment, can even develop the domain to offer some sort of gtlds registration/aff marketing and weigh search competition.

You're right, new gTLDs is a new term.

But, gTLDs is not.
Very true, but I think the real "generic" tlds are the new expansion happening now IMO.
