RE: Autonomous & Driverless car domains

Seems like there's a lot of news lately, as recently as the last few days, of advances in driverless & autonomous cars. There are multiple auto makers getting ready to launch some form of these cars, and of course, Google is working on their project car.

I have a handful of domains related to this news & technology, and I am wondering if anybody else has any? Also, any spike in traffic to your domains, or news of sales???

Actually i was going for robocar related domains before i even saw articles. It just sounds like a consumer term.
Lets see :)

Yes I also went after a few of the domain names with "robo" or "robot" thinking they would be brandable. They do have a ring to them. Referring to:

RoboBuses
RoboLimos
RobotLimo
RobotLimos
RoboticLimo
RoboticLimos
RoboVans
RobotVan
RobotVans
RoboticCab
RoboticTaxi
RoboticTaxis

Will Driverless Buses Be a Reality?

Imagine a city bus rolling down the street with nobody behind the wheel. Or hopping onto a Greyhound during your travels without a driver. It sounds like a futuristic scenario, but a driverless reality isn’t too far off from where we are now.

The topic of autonomous vehicles has rapidly become a hot news item—Uber has announced plans to replace human drivers with robotic ones, major auto manufacturers have started building self-driving vehicles like the Mercedes-Benz Future Truck 2025 and Volvo’s 2016 XC90 SUV. Tesla has already upgraded the autopilot feature of its customers’ existing cars. And of course, Google has built its own self-driving prototype.

The Future of Agriculture Could Rest With Self Driving Tractors

With all the talk of autonomous cars from Tesla’s master plan to take on Uber to the legacy automotive players like Ford and Audi pursuing the self-driving agenda, there’s little talk on self-driving vehicles outside of the consumer universe. Until now.

New Holland, an agricultural and construction equipment manufacturer, gives the world a peek into the future of autonomous machinery which could transform the future of agriculture: an autonomous tractor.

I own NavCar.com.

My girlfriend says she doesn't like it as a brandable because it rhymes with Nascar. But I think of that association as a plus. It my mind its a brandable for a car navigation system or a driverless car. What do you folks think?
I will easily pay $100 for it

Thanks for sharing. I know they are experimenting with robo-buses in other parts of Europe as well. Other day I came across an article about experiments in France,

In other news:

Uber-owned Otto to offer freight hauling services using autonomous trucks in 2017

In conjunction with the news above, I am happy to report that I have sold my first "Autonomous" transport related name for low $$$$... More details to follow when escrow concludes! ;)
Nice! Congrats!

I was in negotiations all day yesterday for 2 of my "Autonomous" transport domains that started with a $1k offer for each and his last offer was $2500 each ($5k for the pair) but I said no thank you.

My last counter offer was $5k each but the more I think about it the more I really don't want to sell them under $10k each,

We will see what happens :)

I wasn't as smart as you, and sold out much too cheap... But sometimes you need a quick little cash infusion! (Also, my negotiations started yesterday as well... Perhaps someone out there has decided to build an "Autonomous" portfolio?)

I think you making a mistake bro, there at plenty of options, driverless, SelfDrive and autonomous! + you obviously we're not selling car, cars, taxi, cab, insurance. Which are the prime ones.

I strongly feel that anything else than these keywords you should have sold man, you might not get that offer again.

I just sold a top Driverless domains last night for 2000$ and I am pretty happy about it.

Don't you think that with the vehicles being autonomous that the liability will be passed to the manufacturer or system providers rather than the consumers?

In the event of an accident the telematics box would be reviewed and the reason found, whether system malfunction or what element caused the accident. Then the company responsible for it would need to be insured under a liability insurance. Thats how i envision it working?

Still a potential big industry but with less accidents, potentially less accidents but higher payouts.

Hmmm, fast forward to when almost all cars are driverless (as opposed to the awkward period for transitions where both fully automated cars and people driven cars share the road) - I also think claims will be more along the line of product liability against the well funded manufacturer as opposed to against consumers. There will of course remain the need for insurance.

I however envision that negligence and other consumer driven claims will still remain in a smaller sense. For example, an owner of an automated vehicle modifying the vehicle's software in a negligent manner, affecting the way it drives, and which leads to a fatal accident.
