When is this being launched?

Our team in Melbourne has broken ground on this; when I get an appropriate ETA, I will let you know here...

I feel your frustration, but I also think it's possible that this isn't warranting bids because this is a very niche domain. I'm happy to provide you replacement credits should this fail to sell.

Also ~ There's 15 days left. The watchers are accumulating either because people are curious how much this will sell for (since they may own like-domains), or they are legitimately interested. Like I said though...IMO, a very niche domain. I have done all I can from my end, including bumping the listing to the top of the page, so hoping that helps.

thanks Kevin. It's a no reserve auction. Would the replacement still be possible with a no reserve auction?

Thanks Kevin, I know you work hard to make the flippa domain arm what it today. It would be disrespectful and unappreciative if I am not considerate. I have taken time to look at some other auctions and seen that some caught the flames 1 or 2 days to the end of auction where previous, they appeared less promising. Maybe mine is just same.

At the time of this post, I have 44 watchers. Let's see what the remaining days has to offer.

thank you and the flippa team.

@FlippaDomains - Hi Kevin, just curious at what point does a seller become a super seller on flippa and is there somewhere to apply for this?

@FlippaDomains - I had a query if anyone really views only domain sales without promotion on Flippa? I did a test case - one where in I promoted the domain myself via various social networks that I have and in that case I got over 100 hits for the listing page but when I did nothing I was shocked that if I simply list the domain for sale using basic listing the hits hardly touch even 10 hits! So is it that Flippa is concentrating only on Featured Listing without which its difficult to get bids? I am not saying my domain is worth thousands of $$$$ but earlier I used to get a few bids on domains, but for the past few listings hardly any hits and almost ZERO bids in most cases. Is it something at only I am facing or there are many like me who are noticing a drop in interest from buyers bidding on domains.

Start a website/domain classified listing, with a min offer of the agreed amount. It's free to list. Then you can use flippa escrow and just need to pay a 10% success fee.

Hello Kevin. I've got a few questions.

1 - It seems that Flippa has done away with private sales. Why? Why no notification?
2 - Flippa has evidently removed the ability to schedule listing start times. Why? Why no notification?
3 - The domain owner/account holder does not get "any" sale credit when a successful sale is made by a Flippa broker? Why not?

Has anyone tried contacting Flippa support recently?

I have sent several emails, received a ticket number, with no response. This has never happened to me before.

1/ Not sure what you mean; you can still sell privately on platform.
2/ This should be returning soon.
3/ If the broker makes the sale, it's the broker's effort and thus should be counted in their tally.

Hi Josh,

Usually < 24 hour response times -- we're in the middle of some personnel fluctuations, but that's no excuse.

PM me your Ticket # ~ I'll look into it asap...

Hi Kevin,
Hope you are doing good, Just two questions:

Do you follow any pattern / criteria for accepting domain for broking ?
None knows how much a domain worth really, until it hits the road. How you estimation a domain ?

Thanks

I bet they use Estibot then multiply the answer by 46.6 then take the square root of it just to subtract the the standard deviation of the length of time a rainbow is visible in the state of Arkansas, measured in seconds.

;)

Shane's mostly right, but we measure in milli-seconds.

In all seriousness, there is really no failproof way to evaluate a domain to make everyone happy. Comparable sales weigh more in my book, but even so, those results are skewed.

I advise all our customers to understand that we do not provide valuations, and to take others' with a grain of salt. Should you wish to know if your domain is a good candidate at auction, always feel free to email [email protected] and we are happy to assist.

@FlippaDomains any suggestions for the query I had posted a month back?

Even after this post I listed 2 domains of Flippa with auction starting $1 and was shocked to find 0 bids and less than 10 hits! including a cvcv .org domain so I really feel that either I am missing something or flippa focus has shifted only to premium listings / promotional listings and basic listings are now going so low that hardly anyone notices it being placed on Flippa.

Would help if you could share your domain(s).

I have listed($9 Auction) around 18 domains in Flippa(They are in my Signature). I just got only 1 bid for $1 for a few domains. I dont think, all they are not good. Some of them are good. Its useless to take $9 auctiion.

Hello Kevin,

Thanks for responding,

As for #1, I don't understand either. I don't recall being offered the option to choose private for the last 3 listings I started recently. I have chosen private on a previous listing or two. What page is it on?

To clarify, I mean a listing where all offers are private and seller chooses to accept, not the private listing upgrade.

I do not think any of those would sell at auction, whether at regular $9 listing or whether you used an upgrade for better exposure. My personal take.

That's weird; I'm actually not sure - will need to check. This may have been turned off before my time. I seem to remember it from the Sitepoint Forum days :)
