The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
We work with sellers all the time to address these kinds of concerns. I'll personally work with you to make sure your next auction converts. If I don't think the domain is strong enough, I'll tell you so and we'll go with something else. PM to discuss.

I appreciate that. I would like to walk away with a positive user experience. I will PM to discuss.

If there is a course, it will be via NamePros - and will always be free.
The poll asked if people would pay. if it ever happens, glad to see it will be free

But should anyone have any lingering hesitations or skepticisms about Flippa, you're welcome to send them my way so I can work to address them. It seems that having a private conversation does the trick, with the handful I've spoken with, and others who once scoffed at our platform have since warmed up to building a presence in our community.
My door's always open, so to speak...
That's so much better than the previous answers. Seems that you should first create a free class on how to handle criticism :)

At the risk of offending you, no, not really (sorry!). I kinda just glanced through it quickly to see if I could find anything that even remotely resembled a conventional pitch, but when I couldn't one I thought I'd come here and find out if this was some sort of Jedi sales technique. :)

I have no experience whatsoever selling anything on Flippa auctions. If you don't mind my asking, is there more to it than just putting up the right name? I was tempted to look into Flippa after reading about your last sale, but after this thread came out I started having doubts about the legitimacy of this venue.

There is more than finding the right name, although that is the biggest hurdle. If you need any help just PM me or email or add on me on Skype. I am always around.

Thank you! I appreciate the offer. I'm not really that comfortable bugging people for help but if I get desperate enough I might just reach out to you for advice. :)

Hope you got my latest PM.

Also be in touch to discuss setting up some risk-free auctions...

Yes, thanks. I got your PM and have been writing a response but I keep getting side-tracked and haven't managed to complete it yet. It also doesn't help that I hate writing. :) Anyhow, I apologize for the delay in responding.

Just wanted to state a couple things that would be nice to be included with flippa auctions listed as a premium upgrade.

  • Weekly bumps to homepage featured listings. Most of my auctions get bidders when the listing is shown on the homepage. I must say that flippa support has been kind in bumping once during listing if requested.
  • When the upgraded listing is launched it should appear as the first listing in the featured section. My last two upgraded listings appeared as the 16th and 19th listing on the featured listings page, so no action following homepage showcase, and hard to find on featured section. I notice that even in the featured section there are many names listed in the top ten that are above the recently launched upgraded auctions, and are ending in hours or a few days. Isn't this supposed to be the case in the "most active" section? When buying an upgrade it states "always on top of regular listings" which is true but seems to be mostly superseller or brokered domains that show first in featured section and then non brokered and normal sellers to follow before the regular listings.
  • Just my 2 cents

It's an issue with Editors' Choice picks sticking to the top.

A massive redesign is coming, which will address most of this.

As mentioned previously, as well, brokered domains will be migrating out of the main section of the site and onto its on page.

Appreciate the feedback.

Does it look to you guys that the shared.com on flippa is legit? try clicking on the site or type it in.
It's ip's don't match, just has bad vibe written all over it to me. The seller is a broker for flippa but he is new user?? That made me want to avoid flippa full stop. Smells like something.....

Well, I paid the premium listing fee for a domain I feel should do well on flippa. So far so good, not what I expect. We have 15 days to go and all I am getting is just more watchers and less bidding frenzy....

If I can't get at least a good price for this one, I will have to believe something is really wrong somewhere. I have done a little more at reaching out to endusers but I am really not happy with the pace of my auction compared to similar names that had sold on there. Is there something I am not aware of? Well, time will tell.

Hi everybody,

Is there an option, when a domain is sold through the Flippa escrow, to receive the money on Payoneer account?

Just because one domain sells for high $x,xxx does not mean a domain that shares a keyword will do the same. Think about it... Which do you prefer? HardRock.com or OrangeRock.com? Both have rock as keywords but see how the value changes when you swap out the first word?

okay. Let's see how it goes... Don't want to say much on this one. Then why the increase in watchers?

Try to focus on getting bidders not watchers. ;)

The majority of domains that sell in the thousands of dollars are category defining exact match keywords that the seller likely paid in the thousands of dollars for.

It's a legitimate brokerage account, broker and brokered domain. I have not viewed the domain itself, but all has been vetted -- I can't speak as to the content / IPs / virus detector, etc. The content is not affiliated with us in any way. We just want to sell the domain, that's it.

Rest assured, were we to find anything shady going on, we'd be the first to bring it to your attention here.

I feel your frustration, but I also think it's possible that this isn't warranting bids because this is a very niche domain. I'm happy to provide you replacement credits should this fail to sell.

Not as of now, but please email [email protected] for more info about future integrations.
