Atom / Atom.com - Marketplace (formerly Squadhelp)

Hey Folks,

I've just started using squadhelp.com to list some of my brandable. So far I have 76 domains listed, there is no fee to list. I've had some decent action so far in the way of interested buyers but no sales as of yet. I've only been with them for 1 week now.

A bit of a summary review of SquadHelp:

PROS
  • No Listing fee
  • No Logo design fee
  • Ability to submit your names to end users holding naming contests
  • Ability to chat directly or send a message directly to end users.
  • Stats of your marketplace domains are shown in the marketplace dashboard.
  • Their customer service and support has been great, 24hr a day chat.
  • Ability to increase or decrease the list price of your domains or to show a discount. You can decrease or increase the price yourself by $200. If you want to lower more, you can contact support.
  • End users can shortlist your domains before they make a decision on which they want to purchase. The number of shortlists is shown in you marketplace dashboard.
  • When you submit your names you get to set the price you wish to get. Because their commissions are high I recommend listing at a higher price to offset the commission costs.
  • Their landing pages are fairly basic but they work. Because the marketplace is fairly new, I'm sure we will see style improvements in the future.
  • One thing I really like is they accept multiple extensions. I have listed .co and .io along with .com
  • Each seller gets a direct link to their marketplace portfolio, HERES MY PORTFOLIO. It is handy if your trying to p[promote your portfolio through social media.
  • I like that their marketplace doesn't have tens of thousands domain listings like BB. They are fairly strict on the domains they accept to list and so this helps keep the number of domains in the marketplace down and gets your listings more exposure.
CONS
  • Their commissions are very high, depending on the domain name they are usually between 30% and 35%. However, there are no listing fees, no logo design fees, so in the end their commission is very similar to brand buckets.
  • Their logos are not top quality, in fact I requested to have some of my logos remade.
  • I think they have a big backlog of logos to design, the wait time for logo design has been around 1 week, but your names are still listed while the logos are being designed.
  • After your names are accepted you need to agree to their commission rate, at this point you also need to apply your own keywords, descriptions etc. I found this was very time consuming.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
They ignore people whenever they want, but when someone ignore them they start threatening .

Of course, you must point your nameservers to SH at all times, this proves that you indeed own the domain, it's in their TOS. Or else they would advertise non-existent domains like other incompetent marketplaces. This ensures that all domains are indeed for sale. Seems like you don't even want to sell this domain on SH, so what's the problem here? Or if you want to sell this domain on SH, then change the nameservers to the SH nameservers, simple.

Saw this ad on Twitter. Good time to switch your domains to SquadHelp standard listing.
Show attachment 231372

It's not possible to downgrade a premium domain to standard listing.

Edit: but if you mean that it's a good idea to list a new domain as standard listing, then I agree. I always try to list my domains as SH premium names, but a few of them get rejected, in this case I list them as standard listings. It's a no-brainer, for just 7.5% commission I get many features not available elsewhere.

Are you using Expert Review Process (Recommended) or SH Review (with some input from Experts) ?

I started using SquadHelp a few days ago, submitted 15 names with 15 coins but only 3 got accepted.
I was using the Expert Review Process (Recommended) option.

I wonder if SH Review (with some input from Experts) would result in a better approval rate?

Thanks

That's 20% approval rate which is very good. Use the recommended review process option.

You can still list the rejected domains as standard listings (for just 7.5% commission).

Browse their marketplace for a few hours then you will know what kind of names are accepted.

EU-based sellers: Big, big improvement on Squadhelp. Huge news. ‼️ Visit Account Settings - Account details and look for this section:

VAT Preferences (EU Based Sellers Only)

Choose how VAT should be collected on domain sales if the buyers are based in an EU country

Finally you can collect the extra VAT on top of your prices conditionally, from buyers in the EU without a valid VAT number! And visit the new checkout pages, now SH collects and validates EU VAT numbers, how cool is that? But if the EU-based buyer has a valid VAT number, then the VAT rate drops to zero automatically. Fake EU VAT numbers are rejected on the checkout page. Great!

Please before you to start answering and giving philosophy lectures , just go and read the issue from the beggining to understand what happened .

From the way you reply to people here seems you set your self as a lawyer of squadhelp and want to protect them by any way and to show that no issues and they are perfect !! and the sellers are only mistaken and guilty !!
I suspect you are a staff of squadhelp and hiding under normal nickname to keep replying and defending squadhelp !!

Please read the terms. If the domain was authorized for Afternic, you need to give 30-day notice before removing the domain. If the domain expires, that is considered domain removal. So if you want to let it expire, don't forget to give the 30-day notice, so you need to notify them 30 days before the expiry date.

Nameservers must point to SH at all times. If the domain expires, the nameservers change to interim nameservers, so in this case you must renew the domain immediately, or else you will be in policy violation. Or see the previous paragraph if you don't want to renew the domain.

I am not their staff member, don't accuse me and SH without any proof. I am helping you here then you accuse me. You are not a polite forum member.

SH themselves confirmed that they only have a single staff member here on Namepros, you can see the proof right in this thread if you read the previous pages.

You falsely accuse me without any proof while I am helping you for free. You are breaking the NamePros rules at the same time, see sections 1.2 and 1.10.

Please read the NamePros rules and the SH terms before posting again. It's a good idea to read more and post less.

You didnt bring any new information , all what you said is well known to everybody here .
You felt me not polite member becuase i exposed you the loyal staff of squadhelp here in forume :xf.wink: .
squadhep should not put rules to force sellers to renew their domains and giving notices !! , its up to my wish i to renew or no .

Domains are more preciouse to squadhelp than the sellers or their staff (you) , so be sure when they terminate you one day they will not give you even 1 day notice , it will be termination with immediate effect .

squadhelp than the sellers or their staff (you)
FYI: https://www.namepros.com/threads/squadhelp-marketplace.1120686/page-118#post-8668798

First of all, we do not have any "proxies" on Namepros or anywhere else to speak on our behalf. If there is something being discussed on Namepros by anyone other than an official Squadhelp member, rest assured that they have no affiliation whatsoever with Squadhelp other than possibly being a user of our platform. We do believe it is important to keep the discussions focused on real issues, rather than attacking others, because that is the only productive way to influence improvements in any platform.

You can keep lying and accusing me, but your behavior has been reported, now please show your evidence to the moderators. You cannot falsely accuse other members, it is against the NamePros rules.

I was helping you because you haven't read the SH terms, now you say that the SH terms are wrong, they should change it and I am their staff member, LOL. If you don't like the platform, then don't use it. But if you want to use it, then it is a good idea to read the terms first.

Happy March everyone. I hope you all had a great February. I would like to share how sales and portfolio building went for me in February.

I added approximately 70 new squadhelp names to my portfolio in February. Here are some of the new names that got added:

1678475990266.png

Sales in February were slower than January. I had 2 total sales in February, 1 of which was lease to own sale.

Feb 13 - LTO $3542 - a .com name i had listed just 4 weeks earlier.
Feb 21 - Boostie (c.o.m) - Negotiated price $7500

The LTO was purchased on flexible financing plan and the monthly surcharge added to the total sale price. I have found good activity with LTO in the $3,000-$3,500 range.

Account wise, We have increased our total premium listings to 1,107. Our views are getting close to 2,000,000.

1678476289055.png

My time to sell stats are still worse than the site average and my shortlist.views % is lower than site average as well. Hoping to figure out how to get these stats better, but in the end the only stat that really matters is the STR %.

BEST OF LUCK TO ALL IN MARCH. THANKS.

@JudgeMind Do you do any outbound marketing or do you use any paid marketing options? Or do you mostly focus on finding and purchasing the best quality names you can get and leave the marketing part to Squadhelp?

P.S. Thank you for sharing your stats from February. As always it's interesting, useful, and very appreciated :) Best of luck in March!

I am glad of your achievements, but you have not answered my question about your Approval Rate. That's why I found your SH page myself and was genuinely surprised that out of 1106 domains your 1105 been have approved . Congratulations! You are one unique domainer with such a result at SH. I don't even dare ask you to share the secrets of your skill. But your result is impressive and makes me think. Although I believe that miracles happen.

So you don’t need to “wonder”, I’d be happy to share my approval stats. Not certain what you mean that “out of 1106 domains 1105 were approved”?

I frequently do outbound marketing and drive those potential buyers to my WLM.

This should be taken literally. Anyone will visit your page https://www.squadhelp.com/domain-portfolio/BrandAim/191862/premium-domains-for-sale/all and may sure that 1105 premium domains are accepted on the SH marketplace (See Info on the left of the page "Listing Type - Curated By Squadhelp -1105"). This is almost 100% of the approved domains. It's not 11.15%. And this is very, very strange. There are a lot of people on the NamePros forum who are engaged not only in domaining, but also in statistics, and can draw appropriate conclusions. If you can't explain your luck with the "approval rate", I wouldn't flaunt your data if I were you

Not sure what you are trying to say.

He has 1106 names there, 1105 of his own and 1 he probably chose to show there which is owned by someone else.

If his approval is 11.15%, that means he had to submit 10 000 names to get 1105 approved.

That's right! But our colleague insists that all his sales take place on the SH marketplace. So the other 9,000 domains that are not approved are dead weight? I would appreciate it if he wrote about the statistics of not approved domains. And where exactly he prefers to place them.

I think they offer a cheap service for them to handle your keyowrds/ root words..etc

SquadHelp is impressive in every way. I mean they have so many features and projects going on, and their website is very well put together with excellent and very user-friendly UI, despite the complexity of the features and services they offer. One of the best websites I have ever come across.

There are lots of possibilities here. He could submit names that he hasn't registered yet and register if only approved (I assume it is possible?), he probably sold some over years, dropped others. But, yes, he had to submit 10k names to get 1.1k approved.

When did I say that all my sales take place on the sh marketplace? I share only my sh sales here in this thread, I don’t include my non sh listed sales. Also, I currently have 1105 premium names, I recently sold one and my profile page has not yet updated. I own all 1105 premium names, none are owned by sh.

As for payments, the payouts are processed in real time. You just click on the payout button and it's processed.
That is not how it works. That's how it should work, but it's not how it does work.

On SquadHelp you click a button to "request a payout" and they pay you whenever they feel like it. It's bananas.

I like SH but this issue is the one thing that makes me worry about them. I've never used another escrow service that seems to conflate my money with their money more than SquadHelp (although I have heard horror stories about Epik as well). I'm not sure they understand what escrow means - it's my money. I'm not asking.

They make enough sales for me currently that I am willing to tolerate the risk. However I never leave money on their platform for even a moment longer than necessary.
