It happened on 23rd Aug 2022 and this matter lasted almost one month without any process. Masterbucks.com declined my fund withdrawal and disabled the button of fund withdrawal. And I contacted Epik.com and got no further action even if Rob Monster got involved in it for two weeks. All the time I was told in email by management review.

What is wrong with Epik.com? Do you think it is normal to disable fund withdrawal? How can I get back my fund from Epik.com? Thanks for your suggestion.

Since we do not know will Epik survive as a registrar, anybody with existing domains @ Epik imo should familiarize himself with the following useful page maintained by ICANN:

FAQs for Non-Renewal of Registrar Accreditation Agreement

The following part is of particular interest:

Will the chosen receiving registrar receive my registration data for my domain names?

The registration data for the gTLD names currently managed by your registrar is being held in escrow and will be released to the receiving registrar. This information will allow the receiving registrar to contact all registrants and create customer accounts for them so they may quickly begin managing their registrations. If your name is registered by a Whois privacy or proxy service, the receiving registrar will typically only receive the Whois privacy or proxy service provider's information as the registrant of record.

(quote end)

It is not 100% clear what cases are "typical" and what aren't, so it makes sense to disable epik whois privacy in the meantime.

So who did Rob have the "discussion" with...?

There seems to be a lot of tip-toing around. Or only speak up when or if it serves somebody involved. A good starting point for DNProtect, or Bill, or Rob, or Epik, Or Brian, or Whomever was behind DNProtect, is to start helping the registrant of Patterns.com. In the name of DNProtect, that registrant was clearly bent over, and yeah, epik did the rest.
Would you rather not hear what's being said?

That in itself says a lot.
As I mentioned to Brad over at Domain Name Wire...

Most people aren't on NamePros every day. And they're not reading this thread. It's great that you guys are putting a lot of effort into uncovering this stuff, but unfortunately, it's not getting in front of everyone who should see it.

Yes, my article was basic. But it establishes the continued issues, and gets it in front of a different set of people.

Fair enough.

I provided a summarized list of some of the most important specific questions that need to be answered.
There are many others as well.

The problem is Brian should not be able to just brush off the seriousness of these issues as the list of victims appears to be growing. There are reports of Patterns.com being taken from the rightful registrant, customer domains disappearing from accounts, domains being lost due to renewals not being applied, and much more. This is no longer just a Masterbucks issue.

Your name is "Domain Name Wire" You're obviously trying to promote yourself as the news source for the domain industry. Instead of being condescending to the efforts here perhaps you could get off your behind, read the thread, write some stories and interview some victims. All the info is here. You don't actually have to do any real journalism. Just read and write. Seems like the biggest story in domain industry and you all are dropping the ball big time.

As an outsider interesting how similar the crypto "journalists" are to the domain "journalists".

In the AMA Bill kept lying his ass off, I don't believe anything he says.
That's a pretty strong accusation there, @Gorilla. Please show me one (just one) instance where I have lied about something.

@DomainNameWire I really liked that you chose to do a podcast with Brian last time, so I suggested that you do another podcast like this and ask the tough questions. Since then, a lot has happened, and indeed, it is no longer just about Masterbucks. Brian constantly makes promises without keeping them and seems to be doing just that again through your blog. Now is the time to dig deeper, investigate and report. Do it for mankind.

Brian Royce indicated that I misunderstood something and that he had not tried to make me an offer to take a $50K settlement of the $91K that Epik owes me for the sale of Candida.com on September 27th. So I am sharing the texts of our discussion. After he sent the text with the offer to settle for $50K or take a payment plan, I texted Rob. I was afraid to take a payment plan because I was afraid they would go bankrupt. So I felt pressured to settle. Rob told me that he was sure that Brian would present some options. And then I got the follow up text later on saying they would pay me $50K by end of Jan and $41K by the end of Feb. I have not received any money from Epik.

Is Brian Royce the CEO of a domain registrar or a fifth-grader selling baseball cards?

So after 23 January, no more communication from him?

Real journalists are a rare breed nowadays. It's like they got their balls cut off or something and those that still do have them are isolated and forced to open their own blog/substack/whatever to get the word out and ring the bells. At this rate in ~5 years tops we will be screaming to algorithms and "AI's bots" without anybody really listening.

Critical Hit covers all things Epik pretty well, which is good to see on a non-domain industry blog.

Brian does realize this transaction happened weeks after Rob was replaced as CEO right?
I have no doubt that Rob dug the hole, but Brian keeps digging.

He definitely offered you a $50K settlement Kathleen, he wanted you to agree to that or to some type of payment plan. You didn't misunderstand anything.

Michele, I then posted a letter and email on namepros and an article was written about me:

https://www.criticalhit.net/technol...fer-to-steal-50000-of-kathleen-kalafs-100000/

Brian was very mad about this and said he was blocking me after that and sent me to Epik's Legal counsel.
I just love this attitude. They screw you out of $91K, well really $100K because their services are worth $0.
Now he is going to block you. That is laughable.

How dare you mention it...you have offended the free speech champions.

Clear as day.

"Can we either make payments OR can we settle for like 50K?"

Brian was very mad about this
The article contains a small part of the content of this 180+ pages thread, so I can imagine how mad is Epik/Brian about NP, this thread, all of us (except maybe a few fans who are mostly silent). Which indicates that NP probably will not see Brian or any remaining staff members posting... OK, at least a few former employees are here...

That DNProtect is not associated with Epik. ONE BIG LIE

Brad, I was so tired of hearing from Brian Royce. He never kept a promise. I would get hopeful and then get let down, over and over for 8 weeks of him texting me. It was the same story over and over. I only sent the recent 4 texts but there were more, very similar. Waste of my time. I am happy he blocked me.

Even though Brian comes off like a doofus, you have to figure at this point he has to know what is really going on. No excuses.

The level of disaster this has become can't be explained by simply incompetence.

Amen. Real journalists are more likely to be murdered then hard core criminals and these false alternatives just make things worse. Check out gorf.social. We'd love to have you. We are going to be launching 1.0 this week. We are in a war so of course they are going after communication lines. They can't stop with new tech developing so they will try to squelch it with lots of AI noise. We are going to build around their crap and put them in a box.
