I cant help wonder why yer all fixed and stuck on dan landers .. so many options around..fast.. reliable..bug free...

Some efty landers the bin button being clicked went to blank page, most work. I removed bin button on those for now, they will get it fine tuned and the hurts will go away.

Which do you prefer?

in all honesty.. at this stage.. dan landers.just got so weird...complicated... unreliable...overdone... that at this stage I'd prefer anything over dan...that I'm familiar with...be it gd..sedo.....

however I personally opt for simple bodis inquiry form... which I then have liberty to pass where I best see fit... choices are nice... so is freedom..

u really dont.need more than simple inquiry form like bodis..email...name etc...

dan came up with all these boxes... complex lease plans that most buyers dont even understand .. and dan says its making everyone way more money.. well its never really made me anything when I tried it..

whatever happened to.the good old...name email phone offer...maybe bin... seller contact form.

dan landers are just way too much

intentions may be good..for sure..but I question the results

of course for those who like simple like me.. dan could just add an option in settings that says ..use simple form lander.. no boxes no plans..just buyer name..email..offer and bin field...

but they wont do it...cause simple is clearly not their thing.

Hi @DAN.COM

Every time I make a small change in "Settings: For sale page" I get an email saying "We noticed you recently changed your bank account details in your account." But I have not changed anything in the "Payout Settings" section.

(this bug has been reported by me in in March this year for Dan 1.0 as well.)

One can see the problem using google's pagespeed insights tool. The mobile version will just not load.

What is weird is that it happens only for some domains, you can see names with exactly the same settings(at least on the surface) working perfectly. (for example, laces (xyz) from the same account)

Since all these names were moved to the new landing pages, some might not have had enough time to fully be setup, so this issue might resolve itself out in the coming days.

I hope Dan has continued solving bugs during the weekend.

Usually it's not a great idea to do a launch just before weekend.

All these mentioned .xyz domains work on my machine.
I don't use smartphones - so can't comment.

Regarding weekend...
Their last reply was yesterday at 11:01 (Amsterdam) and total silence today.

Their database updates are very slow this weekend, that's why.

what updates... I had that domain in my folio there for 1 year..

besides it worked on 2nd try right after..so obviously it's not because.of db updates...

anyway... this all sucks

now 2.0 has new add lead look.. and suddenly the only thing I used dan for..add lead... is working whenever it wants to..

anyway.. maybe its.time to save me.some headaches and move elsewhere.. their landers are terrible.. market yields no offers or sales...

I also had old domains, and my bulk requests to delete them (2-3 domains per request) finished after HOURS.
Yesterday and today.
Definitely some overload of their DB this weekend.

Your previous lander - in other words.
It is not ideal, but at least works with all devices and browsers.

I tried to buy a domain as a customer.

Dan now charges the following surprise fees, only displayed on the final step:

- Alipay: +1% fee
- credit card: +2% fee
- Paypal: +1% fee

(or at least this is the case in my country, maybe in other countries these surcharges differ)

The available payment methods depend on the customer's billing country and on the price of the domain.

I see that wire transfer payment option gives the customer 1% discount.

But I tried to buy a domain priced at 99 USD, then in this case wire transfer was not available, only Alipay, credit card or Paypal. So in this case the customer must pay 1-2% surcharge always.

But on the homepage I read:

"Transparency first
No hidden costs. No complicated math. You’ll never be in the dark, whether you’re buying or selling."

And on the FAQ page:

"Are there any hidden costs, beyond the yearly registration of the domain?
No, at Dan.com we care about transparency and never add any additional fees or costs."

Aren't these surcharges - displayed only on the final checkout step - hidden costs or additional fees?

I don't like this setup.

My suggestion: if you need to increase your prices, then increase your commission rate to 10% and remove these surcharges, it would be better.

Or if you want these surcharges, then display them on the homepage, and on the landing pages (not just on the final step).

I guess these surcharges harm the conversion rate. As a customer I would hate these surprise charges, only displayed on the final checkout step!

And I think you forgot something important. 1-2% surcharge means that if a seller lists the same domain on Dan, Afternic and Sedo at the same price, and if Afternic or Sedo, or their partner network don't add surcharge, then the customer might abandon the purchase on Dan when the customer sees this surcharge. And then the customer might look around (for example on Google or on Dofo) to find the same domain name at a cheaper price, without the surcharge! So how will this impact the conversion rate on Dan, have you tested it? Customers aren't dumb, they are smart.

Yes, just charge us 10%, its better.
Easier maths for us too.

Also Default theme is broken...
And probably, mobile version of Brandable theme is broken too.

For many years.

There is also the partner network of Sedo and Afternic, some partners don't charge surcharge all. I bought domains on Dynadot via the Aftnernic partner network by Paypal, and there was no surcharge and no renewal or transfer fees at all.

ohhh, are they kidding with their landing...
on my computer landing+checkout is working on firefox but not on chrome and edge.
problems also on dan.com https (impossible checkout) !!!

---> go somewhere else until they stop wasting my money...
