I am not a lawyer but if I own a domainname before it became a trademark ? Even with the chance that the trademark was granted does it not logically mean the NFT domain holders are not affected.

Like I said I am not a lawyer but here's an analogy. If I apply for a citizenship and its granted.. I am a citizen from the day onwards of it being granted and not from the day I applied.

If you look up NFT multiple trademarks have been applied for in March 2021 including NFTBlockChain, NFT, BlackNFTArt and SmartNFT. I am sure there will be others down the road. No one owns the term in all its forms and majority of good names were registered before the trademark applications anyways.

I’m not going based one 1 auction by Beeple.

There are 10s of thousands of nfts on several marketplace selling and listed for 10,000+ usd/eth/mana/ you name it! You must not truly understand stand the nft or crypto market or that of the buyers in those markets. Note the types of budgets some of these players have...if they want it, and you tell how much coin you want for it, chances are there’s a deal there..half these people prefer to pay in crypto anyway!

Like almost all other trends, by the time it is on the radar of most domainers almost all the top terms are long gone.

Pick a thread. 3D, VR, AR, Weed, Crypto, etc. It is all the same story.

This is pretty good list of NFT domains that could be expected to have value.

There are an infinite amount of crappy domains in any field. Just adding something to NFT means nothing.

Like any other trend I would focus on acquiring higher quality domains than just hand regging whatever because it is available.

( remember not all sales go reported and some prefer it that way)


As @bmugford said most trends it’s usually to late by the time you realize they are on Fire, to get hold of any Premium related keywords.

Hey Rob, my numerology says : 2011 means 2+0+1+1 = 4 and post22 means 2+2 = 4
So I think he must be posting messages calculating all these factors.
May be that's why he miscalculating NFT as well and underestimating all this reality of NFT, just like he did with his 2011 and 22

The low interest rates, stimulus, and risky attitudes of younger investors has lead to a rise in a potential everything bubble IMO. A lot of these investors have not experienced the value of things going down, which will eventually happen. It always has.

I personally think that NFT do have some role, especially when it comes to fractional ownership if the underlying asset has value. I get a % ownership in art that can be sold.

Honestly though, I think a lot of the NFT stuff at the moment is just horseshit. It kind of reminds me of the ICO stuff from a couple years ago.

I don't think just because some random thing is on the blockchain as an NFT it has intrinsic value.

Still, there is likely to be demand for top NFT domain combos.

Just make sure the keywords work in this niche, random words or letters are a waste of money. Always put yourself in the shoes of the end-user. Ask yourself if you would brand your own company around that name??

Buy on the aftermarket, anything worth having has already been registered.
