I still have similar domains that this company might need. PM me if interested.

The company is BullionBlock which makes sense them buying BullionBlocks.com.

They are a cryptocurrency company.

They do not own BullionBlock.com. I'll assume the owner of that domain is in for a nice payday someday. Congrats to them.

The term "Bullion Block" has been around since before cryptocurrency.

Offer began at $500 then $3,000 and finally $8,000.

My asking was $10,000. I think the final sold price was a fair price given the comps.

Could I have gotten more? Give your answer in the comments.

What does this sale mean?

With all my sales like below. It indicates that I own domains people want and will pay good money for (above $1000) So...............logic dictates that if I have domains people are willing to pay ABOVE $1,000 then surely at my upcoming auctions a bid of $5 to $69 to $99 or even $250 is a GOOD IDEA.

CoinMena.com $25,000
PaladineDrones.com $8,000
WhoaTime.com $5,000
FleetBeacon.com $800 (Could have gotten way more. I was an idiot. FleetBeacons.com I still own. want it?)

They seem to have missed a couple if they plan to target "Asia" and "Europe". They have corporate offices in Hong Kong, UK, Australia, and US.

I wish you all the best of luck in your own dealings. May you and your family and friends stay safe and healthy during coronavirus.

PM me and questions. Thanks.

it's ok. If I missed it and you got it. Congrats and good luck. I'm not greedy. Plenty of opportunity out there. That's the point of posting this thread to give my fellow Namepros domainers a chance to find gems on their own.

never let it be said I'm not here to help others.

Good luck.
If anything comes of it I’ll include you in the profit

Too much listening to Nas rapping will do that to you...

Met him once. I was with my little nephew who really really wanted to meet him and get his autograph. I was nice and polite. went up to him with this kid looking at his idol all wide eyed. Told him this was his #1 fan in the whole world and then he told me "F*ck outta here Chink".

Total A**hole.

in the movie Roxanne Roxanne Nas couldn't beat the best girl rapper of all time Roxanne Shante.

Nas was Roxanne's little B*tch*ss.

"Roxanne Roxanne I wanna be yo man!"

Time to kick it OLD SKOOL! lol Hit it! Mic Check 1,2. 1,2!

YUP! That just happened! Mic Drop! Peace ma N.......... Nope! not gonna happen it's 2020 and that would be Murda if I finish that. WORD is Born!

lol :ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

Congrats on the sale @WhoaDomain.com - nice to see a hand-reg end up this high after just a few years.(y) Also nice to provide more detail than normal on your thinking and the niche.

I was about to point out you can't meaningfully calculate a ROI by cherry picking a single sale, but @Recons.Com has already pointed that our.
ROI is the portfolio-wide exercise.

Congrats again, and thanks for sharing.

Thanks Bob.

Now I remember.

Mike Mann is someone I am connected with on Linkedin so by default I'm one of his followers.

he always gives percentages for the profit for his domains that he sells consistently for $10,000 and up.

He always does the math for Bought for $170 (2010) and then the sold price of say $17,000 and does the percentage of 1000 percent!

And you can all imagine what his portfolio overhead is. So I doubt he factored in his portfolio overhead expense or did he?

This is why I did not think twice doing what I did and also well he's the "expert".

Congrats!

How many hang reg you have?

First sale like this?

no it's not my first sale. I've sold many handregs as I have mostly only handreg and don't buy much in the aftermarket unless it's a steal or is doable. I've already mentioned my past sales (That I can remember.)

You will have individual roi on each domain sale, but the overall roi of the portfolio is what really counts....

Got it. Then I guess Mike went with "individual roi on each domain sale" I'm sure he knew that the later is what really counts. but when you are promoting yourself to an audience of mostly non-domainers using "individual roi on each domain sales is more effective in bringing you more eyes and maybe customers.

People love crazy percentages especially in a world where the most you can hope for bonds is 5% a year interest or from your financial planner 6%-17% a year on $500,000 or 100% a year with stocks give or take ups and downs.

Mann is all about the hype. That is why he posts that BS to the uneducated public, but not among the pros.

An iphone costs under 1/10 of the sale price. Yet Apple doesn't announce ROI of 1000%+. Apple's ROI is in fact around 25%.

No company announces a ROI on an individual sale.

Posting BS to the uneducated public is called marketing in some quarters.....

seems to be working for him lol perhaps that speaks more to the volume of "uneducated public" out there that were not part of the recent Census.

So anyone with Escrow funds disbursement? I've gotten disbursements from Escrow before but it's been a while. I forgot how long it took exactly. I chose ACH payment which from Escrow's website it says 3 business days not 3-5. Since disbursement happened on the 13th which was a Sunday. when exactly would it hit me account.

more important. has anyone ever had a bad experience where it took longer than usual for funds to hit your bank account finally? when using Escrow.com?

I remember glancing as some "Escrow.com" complaints on here that had to do with time and speed of transactions from start to finish. I hope it doesn't happen to mine.

I think ach used to take 3-5 days years ago. They still put it their as disclaimer, but normally money is in your account the next day.

yea it's a bit confusing. I remember when going thru the process for this deal they requested how I wanted to get paid and the ACH option said 1 day but now I'm surprised it says 3 days? a bit inconsistent.

although my last Escrow sale went off without a hitch. so not too worried. Thanks for the extra peace of mind Recons. It's just the Escrow.com complaints on Namepros makes me not too worried just more like "hmmm..." but I'll just cross my fingers. probably worrying about nothing.

if both buyer and seller are in a developed country, Escrow.com is usually smooth. The complaints are typically not for this.

Now I am confused, being a new member. How this case is different than "Cybersquatting".
Here @WhoaDomain.com sold "BullionBlocks.com" to "BullionBlock.money", both looks almost similar.
Please help me to differentiate it from "Cybersquatting".
#Remember I am Jon Snow of this business, who knows nothing.

BullionBlock supposedly has a TM. I've checked and I can't find it on Wipo.int and USPTO.gov. So at best or at worst BullionBlock is simply an unregistered trademark.

Next. BullionBlock does not own BullionBlock.com if there is a cybersquatting case on BullionBlock.com I haven't found it yet.

Plus BullionBlocks.com was registered on 2016-12-09. Prior to the company ever launching.

If unregistered trademark ultimately it falls on the domainer to make the first mistake and contacting the company BullionBlock and trying to sell them any "BullionBlock" domains. It's an immediate sign of a "bad faith" registration. You could "try" to contact the unregistered TM holder. It would be pretty ballzy. I personally wouldn't. trust me you won't sleep at night wondering if some lawyer will send you a letter soon lol.

and finally Trademarks as someone who has registered a trademark have what's called "Goods and Services"

for each trademark you have to specific the Goods and Services label you want associated with your Mark.

In the case of "Bullion Block" yea there is now a company using it. But it's for Gold and Blockchain.

But "Bullion Blocks" have been around way before Blockchain.

Bullion Blocks are these heat resistant blocks used by the Gold manufacturing industry to process gold into whateve shapes they want like Bullion Blocks or ingots.

So that company Bullion Block would be hard pressed to prove they can exclusively own the trademark "Bullion Block" when clearly there are examples online the prove otherwise.

https://www.lmine.com/mabor-cupel-bullion-blocks-c-1_164_269/
https://www.apmex.com/category/19000/gold-bars-rounds

to be perfectly honest? This was the target customer for this particular domain. These above.

BullionBlock as a domain for a blockchain company was purely coincidental and lucky.
