Hello.

Earlier had an appreciated thread about my first month in domaining in the beginner section.

https://www.namepros.com/threads/fi...-7-sales-sh-t-handregs-website-built.1147977/

But since I can't edit that post for some reason I might as well create a new one and update here.
I can today share the news that I brokered a six figure sale.

From day one I have wanted to share my journey in domaining. And I have in the Telegram Group "Domain Talk" shared alot of failed negotiations and stupid stuff I've done. But also some sales and overall impressions of the domaining industry. And now six months have gone by since I first started. And today I closed my first six figure deal. Its been under negotiation for three months. It's been a fun and nerve-wrecking negotiation. But today @Rob Monster contacted me and say the escrow is closed. Big ups to EPIK for making sure the transaction went smooth.
It's under NDA so can't share more details.
But if I can do this, anyone can, no matter what more experienced domainers say. You have to find your own beat. And fail all over again. There's been blogposts written about me where I have gotten pretty much slack and being called a troll by anonomous...trolls. As expected 😀.

However. Here is my highligts so far in domaining six months deep into the game.

• Brokered a Six figure sale via EPIK
• Sold 20-ish domains with Blockchain.za.com being the highest for $1200.
• Sold Betting.cx and Gambling.cx via Sedo iGaming auction.
• Have two $800 sales (DigitalChoo.com and another NDA-one).
• Being interviewed in Morgan Lintons blog (where I earlier had been hammered in the comments of a blogpost).
• Getting the chance to broker FinanceME.com and Finance.me. Interest has been HIGH for those ones.

Please all my newbie homies, share your positive stories also, as I get pumped by reading good stuff from people in the same boat as me.

Thanks for reading (mods, move this to the right area if this is the wrong one).

Best Regards

/Dose

Wow what a start into domaining!

Congratulations and many thanks for opening our eyes for this courageous way of doing the business.

Imagine you‘d have to close 100 or more sales for 1k instead.:wacky:

Every sale is equally valuable imo...be it $100...$1k...$10k...$100k...$1000k!

Wish you a great 2020 👍🏼

Thank you for the answer but I just want to make sure everyone understands my post...I truly liked your answer to the 'how' as I would have said the same thing. Finding an end user is an art in itself and it has taken me years to find ways to do this...I wouldn't tell my best friend how I do it..thanks for sharing the linkin info.

ADD: I did not want to make another post and I hope you spot this addition. Was it a fixed fee or did you do a percentage? Thanks.

I don't think everybody thinks the same way, I have in past shared at great length on how I find end users.

Congratulations! Nice hit! But all that other stuff too is great.

Any sale is a good sale. No sales suck. Every which way you look at it. Looks like 2020 is your year!

NDA?

I try to do that in the Telegram Group, where I have shared many negotations. But this one I like to keep to myself 😀

Congrats!

Although your methods are a little unorthodox, at least you're learning from your mistakes and hustling. That's a lot more than can be said about most newbies.

(Not that I should be calling anybody a newbie as I've only been doing this a year longer than you)

Congrats on the deal for all. It is a little unorthodox for a 3rd party to announce an NDA sale or any sale where we have no details as opposed to the owner doing so. Without details, those kind of deals are usually kept private. I assume the owner is very happy too 🍾.Nice start to the new year.

so you need some promotion again?

the OP had given you Kudos
.. that did the job already

ICYMI, I did not ask for it. I validated DoseBuy's transaction since apparently some folks might doubt him. The transaction was legitimate. Asian buyer. Congrats to all.

Thanks.

Congrats @Dosebuy!

Quite the impressive start to your domaining career! I like how you have used social media and tried various things. Also that you have shared your journey.

Thanks also to @Rob Monster far validating the sale and type of name.

He's talking about you spamming your thread again. Hell, you dropped 8 links in your post in the other forum. Even in the blogs you can't help yourself. I guess it's ok tho, if you're posting thru a Restricted Account, so spam, I mean aggressively forum market away. Run the train.

@Lox - no

Congrats on the sale.

However, I think these type of posts are largely pointless - some great sale, subject to NDA, with no real details.

For the sake of protecting @Dosebuy's virtue, @equity78 has seen the payment details as record of the transaction. It is real so stop being a #PartyPooper.

This is rather unemotional and not very empathic. It may be right for industry veterans. The OP is a new domainer and extremely successful within a few months. He shares his success, his strategy and happiness - with all of us.

Threads like this may be a dangerous appetizer for some, for others it is motivating and leading. Or just: party!
Doesn´t NamePros - the forum - benefit most from outings like this, be it with or without NDA?

I brokered this post for my 2 Cents.

Without details it serves no real purpose in this forum other than to brag. I am ok with bragging and self promotion but what did we learn? A 6 figure domain was brokered at Epik by the OP. Thats it.

This is a question of perspective.

I learned that in theory every so-called newbie has a chance, depending on cleverness and communication skills. And so have established donkeys like me.
The OP has posted a series of sales not just the Epik case - and why should we not believe him?
